School

I love school, I like the work, the teachers, and the students, but as I said before Charlotte is the made up mean girl, and in my head, this is what she looks like.

Blond hair, loads of makeup, a whole heap of 'followers' laughing at everyone and everything, lip gloss, bright sparkly blue eyes and always wearing high heels and short denim shorts and a top saying, Me, Me, Me! You know, the usual.

In reality, there aren't too many mean girls (or boys) in my school. Yeah, some might be really annoying, but none of them are as bad as Charlotte.

"Dinners ready!" Yelled mum. "Go and get your father, I think he is in the study."

"Ok mum, I'll be down in a minute." I replied.

A minute later I come running down the stairs to the study and to go and get dad.

"Dinners ready" I say.

"Ok sweetheart. Did you have a nice day at school?"

Well, he obviously hadn't heard the, misunderstanding, that had happened at school today.

"It was fine, same as always." I replied

"Did you do well, how did you go in maths."

"Fine"

"Well, fine won't be good enough to make you a doctor"

"Fin-, ok then, it was great, I got 98% on my maths test, 97.5% on my science and 100% on my English essay."

"That is not good enough. You know, when I was a child..."

I always zone out for these kinds of stories because, well, they are sooo boring. All my dad talks about is how well he did at school, and how I can improve in my studies, I get good enough marks as it is, 98%, 97.5% and 100% are just as good as they are going to get. But no, it isn't good enough for my parents, I have to excel in absolutely everything. And of course the one subject I get extremely high marks on, is art, the one that they don't mind what score I get.

Why is life so hard!
