I climbed to the top of the old oak tree that stood tall behind my apartment complex. My twin sister was yelling at me from the bottom asking me to come down and watch the meteor shower with her. But right now, I did not care. I was up where I could think and look at the night sky. There were no clouds to be seen, just millions of bright stars that illuminated the dark sky as the crescent moon sat directly above the tree.
My twin sister was beautiful, and so was her name, Jewel. Her hair flowed flawlessly a mere five inches past her waist, and it was the prettiest auburn hair I have ever seen. Jewel and I both had purple eyes, but her eyes shined like the most beautiful amethyst that didn't need to be polished because it was already perfect. Although she is only five foot four, no one calls her short.
Me on the other hand, I was called many names because I was not like my sister. I am more of a boy than I am a girl. I am five foot five, average height I think. I am nothing like her. My hair is as black as a raven, naturally, with a white shadow box, and it goes to the middle of my back. My eyes are nothing compared to her eyes, mine are a dark midnight purple with spots of gold. I, unlike my sister, have freckles on my face.
We may both be nineteen and have the same voice, but we will never be anything alike. She is into these things called "boy bands" while I listen to the good music like Suicide Silence, My Chemical Romance, Bring Me The Horizon, Metallica, Seether, and so much more. We may be very different, but we are really close because our parents were never around and our older brother Scott ran away when we were five.
"Alex! Please come down here," she pleaded. My name is Alexis, but I only go by Alex.
I looked down and saw that she had beer in her hands, that and that our friends have arrived, finally. I started to decend down the oak tree, "I'll get down there as fast as I can sis." I went faster because I wanted to get my hand on the cold beer. I had my friend over. My sister had over her friends that were in a band called 5SOS and One Direction I think. I have yet to meet them, I am usually at the skate park when ever she has friends over.
I dropped from a branch that was twelve feet from the ground and my best friend Seth had caught me bridal style. It was just a tad bit awkward, but I did have a major crush on him, he is in a band, as the drummer. His hair is a golden brown, he is only five foot eight with the cutest smile I have ever seen. Along with a very sexy voice. His eyes are a bright ocean like blue, I always seem to get lost in them.
When he put me down, Jewel handed me a beer and we all sat down in a circle on the soft daisy filled grass.
"Alex, your sister talks a lot about you. You seem pretty chill." one of them said.
I just stared blankly at him, "I'm sorry but I have yet to know any of your names. I never meet my twin sister's friends."
A blonde boy looked over at me and smiled, "My name is Niall, the four lads behind me are in my band One Direction. We have Louis, Zayn, Liam, and the youngest, Harry." He pointed them out.
"So that is five of the nine boys I don't know." I said after I took a drink of my beer.
I was looking at the other lads. Waiting for an introduction.
"Alex, these other four boys are Luke, Calum, Michael, and Ashton. They are the band 5SOS." Seth said as he pointed to each of them in the order that he named them off in.
We all started talking and getting to know each other. Seth and Niall were talking about food, but I think I overheard them start talking about me. I was talking to Louis about music, and he sung to me a little bit.
As the hours went by we ran out of beer and moved on to go get the scotch and vodka out of the pantry. We eventually started playing spin the bottle, and luckily I got to kiss Seth before the game ended. After spin the bottle we all decided to play truth or dare.
