Lightning flashed and thunder boomed in the darkness of the night and rain poured upon those who were unfortunate enough to get caught in the stormy weather. The only sources of light were the dim street lights and the occasional flashes of lightning. A hooded figure ran through the darkness, splashing through puddles as they did so, soaking their shoes. They were struggling to roll their suitcase through the jagged sidewalk. They soon caught sights of an apartment complex. It looked decent enough to stay for a while and get out of the rain. They pondered the decision then quickly ran towards it after another flash of light, followed by a crash of thunder.
The stranger opened the door, the bell rang as they did so, catching the attention of the man at the counter. Their hoodie was soaked, along with the rest of their clothes and the suitcase. Luckily, the suitcase was made out of leather so it didn't sink in.
The man stared at them. "My goodness lad! You're soaked!" The man exclaimed. "I can dry those clothes for you if you'd like." He generously offered, his voice carrying a thick Irish accent. The stranger smiled. "Thank you, but I can do it myself." They said, kindly refusing the offer as they slowly walked up to him. "I need a room to stay in for a few weeks." They stated, referring to buying a room. The man nodded. "Oh, of course." He said aloud, then stared to do his work. "Name?" He asked. "Seth Daigle." They replied.
It took a little while since Seth just arrived to Europe and didn't have any of their currency, but they managed to work it out. "Here is the key." The man said, handing the key over to Seth. "Room 25" He quickly added. Seth smiled halfheartedly. "Thank you sir..." He thanked him before grabbing it and walking away.
After about two flights of stairs, he made it to the hallway where
his room was supposed to be. "18...19...20..." The little voice in
his head counted the numbers on the doors as he walked down the hall. "21...22...2-"
The counting abruptly stopped as he bumped into someone. He looked up and saw a tall man with pale skin and a freckled face. His eyes were mismatched with different colors. One blue and one green. He also had curly ginger locks which complimented his features. Seth almost got lost in his eyes they were so pretty and cool looking.
"It's my eyes, isn't it?" The ginger asked, looking away. Seth blinked and quickly snapped back to reality. He quickly jumped back, his face flushed red from embarrassment. "I-I'm so sorry! I d-didn't mean to stare!" He exclaimed, stuttering slightly in the process. The other laughed. "No worries. I'm used to it. And I know I'm gorgeous with them." He said, a large smile forming on his face. Seth smiled and chuckled awkwardly. He looked at him. "Are you new here? I've never seen you around here before." He asked. Seth nodded. "Y-Yeah...I just arrived from America..." He replied. The ginger nodded. "I see...Welcome to Europe! My name is Matt." He said, introducing himself and reaching his hand out for a handshake. Hesitantly, Seth shook his hand. "My name is Seth." He introduced himself in return. Wanting to get to his room as soon as possible, Seth drew back his hand. "W-Well I must get going. We can talk again later." Matt nodded. "Okay, bye." He said before walking away. Seth then quickly went to the door of his room, taking out his key and unlocked the door. When he stepped in and closed the door, he let out a sigh of relief. Slowly, he slumped against the door, taking a few moments to register the situation he was in. He quickly took off his soaked hoodie, revealing a feminine body and long brown hair.
She then dug in her suitcase and took out a box of hair dye and a pair of scissors. Then, she made her way into the bathroom. She looked into the mirror, staring at what is her real self, knowing that she wouldn't see that reflection for a long time. Probably will never see it again. Shakily, she picked up the scissors and began to cut her hair.
Snip.
Snip.
Snip.
Once she was done cutting her hair to a good length that a boy would have, she got out the hair dye. Taking it out of the box, she started to dye her hair.
Drip.
Drip.
Drip.
When she was done, she looked up at the mirror. The results weren't that bad...one could even say that they were impressed that she did all of this by herself. Her hair was haphazardly cut and she would need to go to a real hairdresser to get it looking good. The new hair color was a satisfactory shade of black. She truly looked like a completely different person, except for some features but were barely recognizable. She let out a solemn sigh.

"Well, goodbye Beth, it was nice knowing ya..."
