It was the first official day of summer; the warm breeze lightly tickled my bare legs as I walked down to the beach by my father’s house. I sat down in the warm sand and put in my ear buds and blasted the latest Katy Perry hit. The beach was so calming with the waves drifting in and out. I leaned back onto the sand and drifted asleep.

Suddenly I woke up to someone tapping on me.

“Hello?” a deep voice said.

“Is she dead,” said a different more high pitched voice.

“She has a pulse,” said a caring voice.

I sat up on my elbows and looked at the three boys who had just awoken me. They all seemed really nice and were quite attractive too. This was a plus in my book.

“Hi, sorry to wake you, we didn’t know you were sleeping. I’m Liam; I haven’t seen you around before.”

“It’s fine, I probably shouldn’t be napping on a beach anyways. I’m Kellie by the way; I’m living with my father for the summer so I’m most definitely new around here” I replied.

“Well since you’re new here would you like to come to a bonfire on this same beach later tonight a lot of people will be there and maybe you can make some friends other than us.” Liam asked quite chipper. He gestured to his friends so that they could introduce themselves.

“I’m Louis.”

“And I’m Harry, you should really come to the party,” he said with a wink.

“I will definitely try to come!” I said with a smile, people in this town were a lot nicer than I thought they would be.

“We have to go now and buy food for the party so we’ll see you later?”  Louis asked nervously.

“Okay! Bye!” I said with a smile as I watched them walk away down the beach. I had already only been there for less than 24 hours and was invited to my first party!

This was going to be a best summer ever.
