Truth

 I managed to avoid conversation the entire plane ride but as we set down in Jersey, Peter was done with silence,"Tell me now Sophia."

I sighed,"Fair enough." I handed him my phone, it had everything, I wasn't going to tell him directly so he has to figure it out himself.

He gave me a confused lock before catching on. The notifications were on Instagram so that was the first thing he saw was half of my followers commenting how much they hate me.

"I pretend and pretend and pretend and pretend." I was crying, the tears burning my cheeks like acid," And" my voice broke," And I get voted perfect always. But it's more painful to keep the image than it is to duel with its repercussions." I turned to him I could almost see the image of how I must've looked. The fury in my eyes, the pain in my tears, the torture rolling down my cheeks as tears,"And I hate it. I HATE IT!"

Peter moved closer towards me,"Sophia, you're amazing. Why on earth do you even pretend to be someone else?"

I almost choked on my laughs,"Peter, they want the Stark, not the Snow." I wiped away my tears,"I guess I'm just not the person they want."

Peter grabbed my hand," Sophia, don't say that I think you're awesome." "I-"I swallowed in my fear of rejection,"I like you, Sophia."

Her eyes studied me for a moment, expressionless," Peter I-" I disappeared? I freaking disappeared. I scream but no sound came, Peter was so confused.

"Sophia" he yelled,"Sophia oh my god where are you?" Hours later he gave and went home.

Tony came into the jet,"SOPHIA I SWEAR-kid?"

Peter's eyes filled with tears,"I'm sorry Mr. Stark she just disappeared."

Thump

For a moment I was normal again and then gone. Tony saw me, he understood something I didn't. His eyes filled with panic," Peter goes home."

"But Mr.Stark-" He protested.

I had never seen Tony so- terrifying?. "Peter go home. NOW." Peter ran off, and Tony opened a walkie-talkie sort of thing," Coulson, I know SHIELD still exists and you still listen to things on this frequency," He turned his head towards where I had just been,"Sophia is an Inhuman."

Within moments Coulson, who I had met 3 years ago was there, along with an Asian girl with brown hair and eyes. The girl spoke,"My name is Daisy, Quake is my hero name. I'm an Inhuman."I tried to talk back but no noise came, instead, I was... water? Daisy's eyes grew wider,"Oh crap," She turned towards Tony,"Did she ever go through a time where she looked like she was stone or found stone around her?" Tony shook his head. Oh god. I work up two weeks ago surrounded by this weird stone, but it disappeared so I thought I dreamed. I managed to nod my head but then turned into stone. What was this?!?!? Daisy didn't look thrilled,"Ok Sophia, people like us have a story of someone like you. The most powerful Inhuman," Tony had a terrified look on his face that he shared with Coulson,"You save us from an evil being, one supposedly destroying populations of planets- but that is supposed to happen for a few years. Now," she said,"we need to teach you to use your powers. Lesson 1, breathe."

How was this supposed to help me? Oh my god that's it. My heart rate increased when I was talking to Peter and that's why these curses turned on. I took a breath in. And out. In. And out. Soon enough I was human again, I sighed,"I'm never doing that again."

Daisy laughed,"You'll end up doing it no matter how much you try, trust me I tried and failed." I forced a smile,"We are going to teach you how to use them and control your powers."
