She really is perfect....

"Hey Mils!" Jim called bringing over a drink to Amilia. "Brought your favorite!" Handing it to her. She smiled at the familiar smell.

"Mnnmnm Let me guess peppermint Hot chocolate?" She practically hummed.

"You guessed right. So how has it been, did you get an apartment? Do you need a place to stay?" He questioned her till she was overwhelmed."

"Woa questionman I'm fine, I have an apartment. You know, I can handle myself. I was raised here just like you. Know the same people. And the same streets, Jimbo." She said before drinking her hot chocolate. Jim scoffed at the childhood nickname.

"Yeah Jimbo, She's a big girl now." Bullock said. Everyone laughed including Ed who Amilia forgot was there. He was watching her. Not in a weird way, but in a sweet, loving way. She noticed out of the corner of her eye, and turned to look at Jim.

"So Jim who were you talking about earlier, the one you said I'll probably really like." He didn't really say that he said to look out for him, but Jim knew what she meant.

"Oh right it looks like you've already met him. Ed, this is my little sister. She'll be working with you for awhile." at that Ed's face lit up with excitement. He was going to work with this girl. But this isn't right. Someone like her deserves something better than crime scenes. Death shouldn't greet her for a job. She looks so Innocent.

Completely Ed's POV

'Maybe your right.' The other Ed said. 'Or maybe your wrong. Maybe she likes it. The death maybe she'll find me better than you.'  Edward couldn't push the other side of himself away. The other Ed was standing behind Amilia. Ed looked like he was going to eat her. Edward couldn't stand it anymore. His face was furious. To everyone else he looked mad at the fact that April would be working with him.

Kinda third person kinda Amilia POV.

He looked furious. Amilia figured he was mad about working with her. Which hurt her more than it should've, she barely knew him anyways.

"Mils? Is that really you?!" Somebody said behind her. She turned but quickly looked back to where Edward was to find him walking away. Which hurt her even more. She finally turned around to see an old friend well kinda.

"Well damn it is you." Said Tom Dougherty an old highschool classmate. She would say friend but she wasn't really fond of him as he was her.

"Well damn it's you Tom," She glanced down at the badge, "Well I'll be damned Officer Dougherty." She laughed with Tom.

"Let me take you out for lunch today." He quickly and casually said.

"Well I've got a lot of work to do so..." She said which is true . She has to work on this crime and wanted to take a look at the body.

"Then dinner come on for old times sake. I've missed you and your beautiful voice, please doll pretty please." Tom begged.

"Well, alright I guess, but where are we going?" She said giving up her night to him.

"How about I surprise you, I'll swing by your apartment around six-thirty. Anyways I'll see you then I have some work to do. Bye Mils."

"Bye Tom" She just about whispered. As soon as he was gone Jim and Bullock started to tease her.

"Mils got a date already!" Bullock teased.

"It's not a date, just dinner to catch up." Amilia defended and rolled her eyes.

"That's not what he thinks!" Jim said. She mumbled a whatever and started to work again hoping no one would interrupt her again.
