We walked to his house talking and laughing about random stuff.  When we got to his street it started raining.  We laughed and ran to his backyard.  It was fenced and could only be opened from the inside.  He started to climb the metal fence before I stopped him.  "Your wet.  Don't try to climb it please.  What if you slip and get hurt?"

"I'm fine.  I have done this before.  Don't worry. If I slip, I'll be fine too. A little slip and fall can't do much." he tried to reassure me.  It didn't help very much. "Just be careful.  I don't want you to get hurt, ok?" he nodded.  He was climbing down when his shirt got caught on it. He just pulled it off the fence and there was a huge rip in the side of it.  He pulled the still stuck pieces off when he got down.  I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in. "See.  I told you I would be fine." he said as he opened the gate. "You can't say the same for your shirt." I stated as I walked with him.  He shrugged. "That's ok.  Who needs shirts anyway?" we both laughed. "Shirts are overrated" I say as he brought me to a ladder.  We climbed up to the door of his treehouse.  Once I get in I am in awe of how it looks.  It has a big tv, video games, and a mini fridge with drinks.  He walks away and comes back with sweatpants and a hoodie.  He hands them to me and guides me to a more private area in the treehouse.  I change and come out with my clothes and bag. He is in sweatpants to, but doesn't have a shirt on. "I'm sorry. Here" I say taking off his hoodie and handing it to him while he turns to look at me. "No. You wear it.  I'm fine.  It will keep you warm." he says. "Thanks, but are you sure? I don't need it" I say unsure. "Yea. I'm fine. Plus, you look cute in it." I blush and set my things by the door, and sit on the couch by him.  "Whose hoodies do you normally wear? I mean I see you wearing big guy ones all the time even when you don't have a boyfriend." He asks as I sit there checking my phone for snapchats. "They are usually Jake's.  He hates when I wear his hoodies because I have my own. But, large guy hoodies are more comfortable. They make me feel... safer I guess" I say stumbling to find the right words to use at the end. He nods his head and looks at the TV. "wanna watch a movie or something?" he asks

"Yea. Sure. What do you wanna watch?" I say looking at him.  He looks at movies to watch. "How about... Pitch Perfect?"

"Cool. I love that movie!" I say with excitement. He laughs at me and plays it.  He hands me a blanket and I lay it over our legs.  As we watch it, I notice him looking at me out of the corner of my eye.  He tries to do the fake yawn thing and puts his arm around me.  I just giggle and look at him. "Really?" I say. He moves his arm to where it was before "Sorry." he says trying to look anywhere but at me. And I just keep looking at him. I scoot closer to him. I grab his hand and move his arm back around me, then lean into him. I look back at the movie and I can't help but smile at the thought of what is happening right now.  I can feel his eyes on me. I look at him and catch him trying to look away before I saw. Too late. "I saw that" I giggle.  He pretended to have no clue what I was talking about. "Jackson?"

"Yea?"

"You like me, right?" I ask

"Of Course I like you.  Who wouldn't like you?" I was happy that he said that. "Really?" He nodded and smiled. "Thanks. But a lot of people don't like me actually. Some people I don't even know." I said a little quietly and looked down.  He could tell something was wrong.  I got up and walked to my bag to get my phone. He watched me as I walked there and back as if studying me or something. It felt a little creepy, but it made me feel... good, in a way. I moved to the other end of the small couch, a few feet from where I was a minute ago. I don't know what went over me, but I suddenly felt different. I wanted to isolate myself from everything, and everyone.
