Chapter 18: may the best guy win!

**Friday morning**

Someone pinched me and I woke up in shock.

“What in the world? Why did you do that?” I asked Hayley who had pinched my feet.

“I wanted to make sure you weren’t dead.” She said smiling. “Get up missy; you have a senior trip to go to.”

“Don’t remind me.”

“I thought you wanted to go?” She asked me adding dresses, shorts and crop tops to my bag. That bag would explode, it was already full and she was adding things more things. I promise by the time I am done showering this bag will weigh more than me.

“I wanted to go. Until yesterday Cynthia reminded me that Noah –a guy that likes me- will be there and Antonio –m ex will be there. Not so fun after all.” I told her heading towards the bathroom to get ready.

“Oh well, honey that’s the price for being drop-dead gorgeous.” She said and laughed while adding more things to my bag.

I took a shower, brushed my teeth and braided my hair.

I went to my room and towards my closet to choose an outfit.

I took some skinny jeans and a red shirt I put on my black boots and lifted my bag to go downstairs. Before leaving my room, I took my pillow and a small blanket.

I went downstairs and I sat down at the kitchen table next to Jamie.

“You’re leaving today.” He said looking at his cereal bowl.

“Yup big guy, but I am coming back on Monday.”

“Going to miss you Holy.” He said.

“It’s only for 3 days.” I said.

“Oh then never mind.”

“Jerk” I said pushing his head and he laughed.

“Love you too sis.” He said getting up and putting his bowl in the sink.

“Good morning.” Logan said coming in the room. “Say hi Kyle.”

“Good morning” Kyle said running towards me. “You’re pretty today.” He said hugging me.

“Thank you.” I hugged him back.

He had a uniform on.

“Hayley said she will drop us off after she will drop you off.” Jamie said.

“Okay.” I said. “I love you uniform Kyle.”

“Thank you, I just moved to the same school as Jamie.” He said.

“That’s good.” I said “come here and eat next to me.” I told him. He got on the chair next to me and I took some cereal and poured it in a bowl for him.

“Thank you.” He said. Taking the spoon and putting it in the bowl taking some cereals and putting it in his mouth.

“You’re welcome.” I told him.

I turned around and I saw Logan and Hayley smiling at us. Logan had his arm around her waist and she had her arms around his neck.

I smiled and continued eating.

“Alright we will be late. Hurry up.” Hayley said.

I got up, helped Kyle to get off his chair and I grabbed my bag. Hayley kissed Logan good bye and she left the kitchen, then Kyle hugged his dad, Jamie shook hands with Logan and I hugged him and said bye before going in the car.
