"I've tried. We've tried. It's just... It's not working out anymore."

"Maybe..." I started, glancing up at the ceiling of my room. "Maybe we're just better off with someone else."

"You'll be happier than this," Park Chanyeol whispered. "I know you will."

"W-We just need a break for now."

"You deserve better."

"No," I shook my head. "I... I will never be enough for you."

Chanyeol looked down as he frowns. "It's-- It's not you," he muttered, unsure. "It's me."

And that's it. Just as Chanyeol said the words, I burst out laughing, clutching my tummy and trying hard not to cringe from those cheesy, unbelievable breakup lies. "Okay! You win!" I announced and Park Chanyeol started to smirk, giving me a triumphant look. I threw my head back, laughing way too hard. "That's the most cliché break up line. Ever. It's not even believable. Why do people say that?"

My fiancé just shrugged as he sat beside me on my bed. It's a Saturday and he got no work so we're spending time together. But right now, I'm currently lying chest down, my laptop in front of my face whilst doing something that doesn't really involve cuddling. Park Chanyeol rested his head on my shoulder as he reads what I just typed.

"What's with this again?" He points to the screen. I'm actually surprised he wasn't pissed when I started not paying attention to him two hours ago. Park Chanyeol just started reading from a magazine, answering Cosmo tests and stuffs. He's not even a girl! He just has too much patience for me.

"Amber's writing the script for this play at school," I answered. "She wants us to help and I'm in charge with Scene Five: The Breakup. I just can't believe I'm doing her this favor. I'm really bad at scripts." I moved my fingers, typing the part where the characters meet up at a certain restaurant and the guy just drops the bomb: 'I'm sorry. It's just not working out anymore.' But anyway, I kinda like that line better than 'It's not you. It's me.' At least, it sounded more honest.

Chanyeol chuckled before pulling back, glancing fast at his watch, and walking over to my walk-in closet. "You'll be fine," he called out. "We already enumerated some cheesy breakup lines. You could start the idea from those."

"They're all bad," I pouted, glancing up at him just as he disappeared into the small room. He's wearing nice, expensive clothes today. All Veblen goods. So I don't know what he's doing rummaging through my things. I rested my head on my palm, waiting for him to emerge from the closet. And when he did, he's holding a pair of faded denim pants and a simple white shirt. I gave him a frown. "What are those for?"
