No chirps, only clocks. The sun shone directly to my face.. and I didn't liked it. My alarm beeped for almost 30 times.. I also don't like it. I was a newly transfered student, never liked it. Never will. I finally reached for my clock to snooze it for another 5 minutes but my sleepiness ran dry after my alarm.
Still, I didn't get up after the last 3 minutes knowing I need to get back to Otonokizaka Academy. I tossed around my blanket several times trying to restart my system and get ready. If I will be the one who was making the decisions with enough freedom, I'd rather stay at home and make samples in the basement.
I remembered my dream after I sat on my bed. It has been a long time when I remembered mine. Dreams are always weird. I remembered I was running holding an unknown card with my hand while chasing someone whom I don't remember. Then the path I was running turned into a piece of cardboard and began to shred into pieces. I woke up with a kick to my head realizing I was falling.
Deep inside my subconsciousness, I began to search for the known meaning of my dream. As if my dream was trying to tell me something. Then like a lightbulb that flashed white with yellow, it was her I was chasing.. Yazawa-san.
Now I would have to come to that school because of her. If it wasn't for her running like a burning firetruck, I wouldn't have to come.
Since I ran out snoozes in my head, I better get things over with. It was already a quarter to 7 when I got up. The first thing I went was to get my pants and check my pockets. My hunch was right after I grabbed hold of the ID and put it inside my bag.
I prepared for school and went downstairs after. There was a sticky note that was placed on the refrigerator. I peeled it off and read:
"Cai,
Will be home Late at Night. Go home early and dinner is prepared inside the chiller.
-Mom."
That was not of a surprise. Good thing I was up by myself thanks to that whacky dream of mine. You see, my mom works late and my Dad works in Osaka. He seldom goes home because of his work so technically, I live kind of alone most of the time.
I went outside after a few minutes and head to directly to the school with her ID inside my bag and I truly hope I will find her today.
The sun began to emit toasty rays that I was starting to feel its heat. The path to the Academy felt like it was much much longer than yesterday. Maybe the reason behind was I already lost my interest in this school but I already gave my word of finishing it here.
After 30 mins. of constant walking, I reached the school gasping for some air and in need of an extra shirt. The long walk was gruesomely tiring and my legs started to get cramped up after the long climb the stairs. No wonder why students here are slim or fit compared to me who rather sit and do things sedentarily.
I didn't have enough time to search for her firstly. I went directly to my classroom with just a few minutes left to start the class. The classroom was still the same, from the curtains that swayed left and right, to the giggles and gossips of the girls. I walked inside as if I was a non-existent being. The three girls were already there. Chairwoman Jr. taking a last minute nap, Ginger Blue getting riled up infront of her friend while holding a sheet of paper.
"Oh come on! I gave an all-nighter for that! At least give me some appreciation." Ginger Blue pouted her lips after complaining.
