It was worse. Alexa went completely off script. She hit me repeatedly with a kendo stick. I don't even know how she got it! One minute I'm dominating the match, the next I'm in the corner covering myself from the blows.
"Hey, Becky. What's the matter? You look a little...hurt." She smiled sinister like. I clutched my arm glaring up at her. "What do you say to more fun? Hm?" She made a motion and Jeff's...the Hardy's music played? They both slid in the ring chairs in hand. "I'm sure you know the Hardys." I could only look between the three. "Boys." She purred. They both stepped towards me and lifted the chairs. I shut my eyes waiting from the pain.
It didn't come. Instead I heard Jon's music. I opened my eyes. Alexa rolled out the ring as Jon slid it, Joe with him. They brawled it out until only Jon, Joe and I were left in the ring. I slowly stood leaning against the rope for support. My entire body hurt.
"You alright?" Jon. I nodded wincing as I got out the ring. "You need to see the medic." He spoke sternly and lifted me bridal. "Can't believe they freaking went off script." He mumbled as we headed up the ramp. I cupped his cheek and kissed him. Now was as good a time as I'd get. And just like that. I pulled back just as he walked through the curtains. He looked at me shocked.
"...sorry. Seemed fitting." He looked away and continued to the medics office. Once there he sat me on the table and...just left. I would have gone after him but obviously I couldn't. The medic arrived and started checking me over.
________________________________A few bruises. Most not bad. Just the one on my leg. They gave me pain relievers and said I should take it easy.
Now I was standing curbside waiting for my Uber. It was pretty dark except for a store nearby and street lamps scattered.
It wasn't long before I felt like I was being watched. I looked around but no one seemed to pay me any mind. A few prostitutes, a guy smoking against a wall, cars driving past. Basically all.
"Rebecca?" And that's where it was coming from.
"Leave me alone."
"Becky, we're sorry. We wouldn't h-" I stood cutting them off. Grimacing a bit.
"Sorry? You two were gonna beat me with steel chairs for Alexa. Everything that happened was you guys' call. It was off script after all." They didn't speak so I continued. "So take your sorries and shove them up y-"
"Whoa, doll."
"Jon?" He had been there the whole time. He put out his cigarette and walked up beside me.
"Gentlemen." He nodded towards the Hardys.
"What is going on?" Matt looked confused.
"What's going on is none of your business. C'mon Jon." I didn't wanna be around them any longer. Perfect escape. I pulled him away just as my Uber pulled up. We both got in. "What are you doing here?" He shrugged leaning back.
"What'd the medic say?"
"...I have to take it easy a while." He nodded as silence fell over us. Hella awkward for me. I didn't know how he felt. He didn't appear to be upset...now. But then again it is hard to read him.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kissed you like that. I just w-" He laughed. Actually laughed at me. "It's not funny..."
"It is. You've been pressed against the door because you are still thinking about that." I blushed red..I hadn't even realised. "You don't have to worry. No romantic feelings he alright." I nodded.
"Just awkward ones." He shook his head. The car ride home was quiet but comfortable. I'm glad everything was fine. At least with us.
