He just sat there, looking out at the lights as they passed by a city far below the highway. " You awake?" Jayden asked from the front seat.
" Mhm," he said. " Yep."
Jayden said nothing, but continued on down the road, going past the car in front of them. He yawned loudly, shaking his head frantically, as if to wake himself up some.
" Do you want me to drive?" he asked quietly.
Jayden's head jerked up, and his eyebrows raised. " Um, no- I-I'll be okay," he said, eyes heavy. Dallon looked at him for a few moments, doubting the twins word.
" Honestly."
Slowly, after a few moments of studying him, he gently moved Emily off of him. " Park the car," he ordered softly. " You'll kill us all."
Jayden looks back angrily for a few moments, before sighing and pulling the car over on side of the road. He gets out- and Dallon trades places with him, changing the position of the seat so he can fit his legs properly. They didn't call him daddy long legs for no reason.
He glanced in the back seat as he put the car into drive, and saw Jayden leaning on the window, eyes already drifting closed. Smiling, Dallon pulled back out into the road. He glanced back at Emily, about to wake her to tell him the direction he was supposed to be going in. Biting his lip, he turned back around, pulling out his phone, typing in the nearest Hotel into the GPS. He didn't know where Emily and Jayden's house was anyways. And he wasn't going to wake Emily up- she probably needed her sleep just as much as her brother did.
Lifting her from the car, Dallon weekes swiftly made his way into the fancy motel. Emily mumbled something in her sleep, and wrapped a piece of his shirt fabric in her fist. He drew in a deep breath, stepping into an elevator. He gently shifted his hand so he could hold her, and push the button to the third floor. Once the door opened, he slowly walked down the hall- looking at each and every door for room 13.
He found it, and opened it.
He made his way to the middle of the room, where he laid Emily down onto the bed as he drew back the covers. He covered her, tucking in the blankets as he did so. He glanced at the room next to them, where Jayden was in the bathtub- out cold.
Closing the door, Dallon turned out the lights, and laid on the floor. Before he could think about moving to an armchair- darkness quickly engulfed him.
" Hey-" Emily laughed. " What are you doing?"
" Hm?" Dallon looked up from the night sky, smiling. " Nothing-" he held his hand out to her, the moonlight casting a white glow on his arm. She hesitantly reached her hand out, taking it. He held it firmly, yet gently- as he pulled her into the bushes with him. " Look-" he said, wrapping an arm around her, as he looked up at the lit up clouds. She did, and as he glanced down at her, he saw a smile lite up her face. " it's beautiful," she whispered.
" Yeah," he looked down at her, smiling. She looked back at him, smiling- before her lips gently touched his.
" Oh, God." Dallon moaned, rolling over onto his back.
Emilys voice floated towards him. " Dallon, why are you on the floor?"
He opened his eyes groggily, groaning. " Sleeping."
" No- you're awake."
He opened his eyes, sighing. " Yeah."
" Why did you sleep on the floor?" she asks. " You could of slept in the bed. There's enough room."
He sits up, shaking his head. " No- I wanted you to have it. It's okay."
