"Hey carebear." I hold the phone in between my shoulder and my cheek. You need your hands when making a sandwich.
"Hello my darling. How much do you hate me right now?" Cara is my only girl friend. We met when she was playing at the same place as Hayden and I once. She is absolutely insane.
"I think I can forgive you. How are you dealing with it?"
"The divorce? I'm completely avoiding both my parents. I hate having to choose between them. Though Christmas should be fun from now on." She chirps.
"That is what you are taking away from this." I ask laughing at her. My sandwich is complete. I bring the food into the sitting room and turn on the telly.
"Yes it is. So Hayden called me earlier." Cara is smirking. You know when you can hear the smirk in someone's voice? That is how she sounds.
"He told you about my nightmare."
"They're not that bad Esther you haven't even met them before." Cara was trying so hard to help. But the giggle that escapes her lips isn't the best idea.
"I can't wait to be spending my tour with the new heart throbs of the music world." I roll my eyes even though she can't see me.
"I want to be facetimed every time you are around them. Especially if they are shirtless."
"You make me sick." The door to the room opens and I turn around expecting to see Hayden. Instead I see my evil twin.
"Where's your dog?" She asks folding her arms.
"Hayden is a person." I tell her holding the phone out a little so Cara could hear.
"Not from what I see." Charlotte sighs and looks at me with that bitchy stare that she has perfected over the years.
"Why do you want him anyway?"
"Why are you jealous?" She snarks at me.
"Why would I be jealous he hates you?"
"You should see the way he checks me out though." Charlotte pushes. Cara starts talking through the phone knowing where this is leading.
"We're twins Charlotte." I push through my teeth.
"Yeah. But everyone wants the skinnier model." She winks at me and walks off.
"I hate her, I hate her, I hate her." I chant to Cara as I pace up and down the floor.
"You knew she was going to do that. It's the witches specialty." Cara sounds just as pissed as me. "At least she's not going on the tour." I take a deep breath and sit back on the couch.
"I got to go rehearse I'll talk to you later." I hang up the phone not waiting for her to reply.
Some girl on the telly was declaring her love to a boy that was way out of her league. When the guy rejected her I gave up on listening to her. I flick through the channels until I land on Friends. If there's one thing you can always depend on is Friends.
"Hey." Hayden comes into the room.
I look up at him a smile a little. He plops down beside me and puts his arm around me.
"You made food?" He asks pointing at the sandwich in front of me. I turn my nose up at it. It no longer looked appetising.
"You can have it." I shrug at it. Hayden sits up and takes the sandwich quickly stuffing it in his face. How do boys eat so much?
"So Charlotte was here." I tell him.
He stops stuffing his face and turns to me. He looks at me and then back at the sandwich quickly piecing things together.
