"Ash..... Ash..... A..S..H.......ASH!!!!!"

My eyes jumped open as a drop of sweat trickled down my cheek. I sat up, startled, and gazed around the room, "W-who's there..."

No reply.

Of course there's no reply, you idiot! No one's there! I sighed and fell back into my world of pillows. My eyes fell heavy and I felt myself starting to drift. But then it happened. My hands started to feel like I was wearing gloves in the summer. The temperature seemed to keep rising. And little by little it began to burn.

Believing, more like wishing, it was a dream I tried to shut it out. And it did. My skin returned to a humanly temperature and I fell asleep with the male voice that called my name, echoing in my head.

The blazing sun seemed to be slapping me awake. I grunted and gazed at my alarm clock, 6:09 AM Saturday 7/10/2012. I shrugged as I stood to close my shades. A hand wrapped around my ankle making me plummet to the earth. I turned slowly to look at my foot but, nothing else was there, just me. A bit freaked out, I pulled the shade down.

"Ash....." the voice whispered again.

I spun around but nothing was there.

"Ash....Do you want to know?"

"Kn-know what exactly?" I attempted a reply but my voice was shaking.

"Do you want to know why your hands burn?" My eyes widened. No one knew about that. Not even my parents. "Why your blanket set on fire last month?"

Before I could notice what I was doing my head nodded. "Yeah... Kinda..."

"Then come here..." the voice whispered once more and a figure materialized. I took a step forward, then another, and another, until the figure was staring me right in the eye. He was fairly tall and had shaggy black hair. He wasn't much older then me, in fact we were most likely the same age. His hand raised and covered my eyes. His touch felt like silk on my skin, "Do you really want to know?" I nodded curiosity eating me alive. "Would you even leave this place, your family, your friends, to know?"

I nodded, "No one would even notice I was gone."
