Prologue

Hello Everyone, as you guys see this is my first ever book. Please bear with the grammar error and spelling mistakes because basically English isn't my mother language.

My book cover will be change but it still has those same design, i'll just make it better since i'm not using my laptop.

Tell me what you guys think even though this is just a Prologue.

P R O L O G U E

J I N O N A R R O W ( Age: 8 )

"Come on, you weak piece of shit. Shoot that mutt!" My Father ordered as I was nervously aiming at the poor tied-up puppy.

The puppy was tied by a rope around its legs, Father told me that puppy is a werewolf but it's still a puppy.
How can I just shoot this innocent creature? Not the mention we're a family full of hunters, Show no mercy they say but I'm a complete opposite of that.

As I keep on staring at the whimpering pup, I have this urge to save him. I can't handle animals being killed, it's inhumane and not to mention cruel. My family is right; I'm too weak for this.

"Are you just going to stand there or shoot that thing?!" Father yelled bringing me back to reality, who the fuck trains their 8 year old son to shoot innocent animals?!

Father had completely lost his patience as he snatches my pistol from my hand. "If you can't shoot that mutt then I'll do it." He pointed the gun at the puppy as he struggles to escape by biting the rope and pulling it.

"NO, YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" I shout, quickly push him away as he fell down. As if that's my cue, I ran to the tied-up puppy and quickly untying him.

"Go little pup, RUN!" I shove him away as watch him running to the depths of the forest. As I was standing someone kicked my stomach to see Father in his fury self.

"YOU PATHETIC CHILD, HOW DARE YOU DO THAT?! YOU ARE SUCH A DISGRACE TO THIS FAMILY." He keeps on kicking me as he was done he left me alone in the forest as my eyes beginning to close.

I don't know how many hours has been but I was slowly beginning to wake up by a small whimper, opening my eyes to see the puppy above my chest, the one I had saved. He licked my cheek causing me to smile at the cute pup. I wince at the pain but I ignored it, slowly sitting up I place the pup in my lap then slowly stroking its fur.

"I'm sorry for what he did to you." I whispered softly, he just looking at me. The pup has beautiful dark gray eyes and a gray-white fur that kind of reminds you of a husky.

As I stare at the night sky, stars spread and the moon is right above us giving a beautiful illumination to the whole forest. I hear a faint sound of the river flowing, standing up while carrying the puppy on my hand. I keep on stroking its fur.

"I have to go now." I said, earning a sad whimper from the pup. I can't help but smile then said. "I'll be back, I promise." Then the pup howls softly then licks my hand and cheek. Setting him down I watch him run away then I went back home preparing the pain that awaits me.

Going back home wasn't a great plan but I have to endure it all. Who knew they are treating their own Son like shit just because he is weak, but nonetheless I spend my time with the pup watching it grow.
But one night he didn't showed up, to this very day I still went to that very place where we met and played but he didn't showed up.

That's how it should be.

The worthless and weak boy

Slowly losing hope for him to live,

As I stare at the moon with sad-filled eyes.

"I hope I could find someone who can protect me in this cruel world."
