Chapter 12-Gem for a Gem

Kalesy's POV
I hear footsteps and a displeasing sound of blood, the door to the darkened room opens

i feel my heart beating out of my chest but then it soothes when I see Kristen walk through the door he is looking for something to cut my ropes with i fumble into my bag and drop the pocket knife he cuts my ropes and gag and i take a deep breath then i try and explain but he puts his hand to my lips and leads us out on the way out we meet the evil man and he says in his stupid slow drawl

“trying to take the gem without giving me my gem well I'm afraid not”

he takes a knife and tries to stab Kristen but Kristen twists his hand and shoots him in the abdomen five times the man us eventually lying in a pool of blood on the floor then we run out and get in the car before meeting any more men, when we are in the car there is a really uncomfortable silence up until Kristen says slowly

“Why didn't you tell me so at least i wouldn't have......i wouldn't have....”

“YOU WOULDN'T HAVE WHAT LEFT ME ON THE ROAD TO DIE???”

i scream

“OH FOR GOODNESS SAKE SO I WOULDN'T HAVE LOVED YOU....... I LOVE YOU Kalesy since the day we met
In the abandoned house since the moment after the trip to the river,after all the times your cheeks redden at the slightest thing even now the way your cheeks are reddening,i love you but cant be with you,its against all the rules  and now that i know you are the head of the Major Mafia boss we have to fight at the end of the week or the responsibility shifts to relatives"

“Then i will be waiting”

I get out of the car and run to the location of the close friend my parents mentioned i run till my legs ache and my calves are burning i barely make it to the front door,i knock witb the last strength in me and its opened by a man round his fifties who i am suspecting is the person supposed to gather my guards to fight he looks in my eyes and immediately knows who i am and leads me to a room where i lie on the bed and fall asleep.

Kristen's POV
I can't believe all this while Kale was the major mafia boss all this time i was living,even falling for the one i was supposed to battle i hold back the tears in my eyes,and think of what to tell Anne then i decide to tell her the truth my car rumbles on the gravel and Tres comes out with Anne and Anne sees an empty car and assumes the worst and starts crying into Tres shirt

i quickly mumble something about Kale not being dead then she raises her head and smiles then i say

“she's not dead but i have to kill her or surrender my Mafia position”

Anne looks confused for a moment the n it hits her and she stutters

“i-is she t-the Major Mafia head?? ”

“Yes”

i say then Anne continues crying into Tres chest i look at Tres and he looks as shocked as me.

Readers note just to clear stuff up a gem for a gem means a gem(diamond,ruby etc) for the other gem (Kale) and passing on to relatives means if he lets Kale go he can no longer be a Mafia boss whats he gonna chose Love or Title??
