Chapter 5

~Thomas POV~

I walked Alex to my car, opening the door for him to climb inside. Once he was in I closed his door and went over to the driver's side, climbing in as well and starting the car. I pulled out of my spot, drove away from our college, and to the nearby mall. After about 15 minutes of driving we arrived, and I got out of the car, opening Alex's door for him again, before he could even try to do it himself.

"Lexi! Lemme cover your eyes, baby!" I whined until he let me do it, I gently put my hands over his eyes, and we both start walking. We walk until I've guided him to a pet store, I could tell he always wanted a little feline friend around the dorm, especially because of the way he wouldn't want to leave the Schuyler sister's dorm, too busy playing with Peggy's two kittens. He quickly bent down with the widest smile I'd ever seen on his face, sticking his finger tips through the small holes in the grate cages to pet the kittens' noses. I knelt beside him to see which one of the little fur-balls he'd choose, after around five minutes he had called over an employee to unlock the cage, and pull out a tiny calico runt, once he had the little guy in his arms I didn't think he was going to let go!

First thing he said was, "Tommy, let's name him Reese!"  I laughed, and brought him around the corner to pick out Reese's collar, tag, food, and toys. Alex handed me Reese, and bent down again to look through the tiny collars, and toys, while I looked through food, and then over to the tag machine. I sat the box of food down to type in, Reese, and my phone number in case he ran off.

Alex came back over to me, taking the kitten, and replacing him with a handful of toys, and a mint green collar. He smiled wide, and took my hand, dragging me to the front of the store. I paid, got everything into bags, and walked back out to the car with Lexi, he sat up front, with Reese in his arms like a newborn, while I put the bags in the trunk. I closed the trunk, and loaded into the driver's seat, smiling sweetly at my boyfriend. I started the car again, and pulled out of the lot, to drive back to our college.

Once we got back home Alex, and I ran up to our dorm, I went to put everything away while he flopped onto the couch with little Reese on his stomach. I laughed, and laid with them when I finished. I switched on the TV, watched a movie, and rubbed Alex's feet while he played with Reese.
