to sit alone and forgotten i thought
then you walked in with your beautiful smile and haunting eyes
turned my world upside down and swept me off my feet
i thought we were meant to be
lovers at last
but alas i found you in the arms of another and
i fell apart
into ten thousand pieces
put back together by tears and sheer will
years later i realized i was still missing my ten thousandth piece
