Chapter 1: The notes.
My father Zack died 2 years ago. I was 13. The police came to our house and told us he had died in a car accident. Classic, amirite? He loved coding and taught me it. I've had nightmares for months about going the way he did. My grades and social skills had taken a heavy blow. After seeing a grief counselor for almost all of last year, I had gotten over it. In fact, I had returned to my normal life.
That is, until I found something he had been hiding.

I hopped off the bus and headed home after a long day of school. My house two floors. It had a hallway with rooms branching off it my bedroom on the right, and a living room on the left. At the end, there was a kitchen / dining room. Just before that, there were some stairs leading up to the tv room and my mom's bedroom. Today was a good day. No homework and my mom was still at work. Some tv would be great.
I went upstairs and saw the door to the room my father had told my mother not to let my open. But my mom wouldn't be back for another 2 hours. A little exploring couldn't hurt anybody. So I went in.
The room was dark, and when I hit the light switch, the light buzzed and flickered on. Even then, there was very little light. In front of me were cardboard boxes filled with million year - old journals. I picked one out. The journal had belonged to my father. I flipped it open and saw what looked like some kind of conspiracy theory he was putting together.
