The child entered the deserted house and started investigating. Suddenly, he heard a creak and shivered. He doesn't have a choice. He wanted to be stopped being called a scaredy-cat and showed everyone he is brave. But being in this house is not a good idea, he thought. He heard slow footsteps behind him and the hairs on his back stood up. He turned around and ....... he was never heard of again.
I started making a note of things I would need before my dare took place.
Bag pack, check.
Magnifying glass, check.
Phone already dialed to the police, check.
A packet of Oreo and a hidden pack of goodies in case Jessica ate all my Oreo, check.
Flashlight, check.
My ghostbusters kit, check.
Telling my aunt I'm going to the most feared house in town, will never be checked.
I can't tell my aunt about it unless I want to be deaf in both ears. My aunt has a record of the most loudest and longest scream ever. Well, I'll have to use my special skill, then. Lying has always been my specialty, although not many people know about it. Outside, I was always told I look innocent, but deep down inside, I am actually a little devil always rubbing her hands and chuckling.
"Alice, where do you think you're going?" said my aunt. "You know you haven't finished your chores. Why can't you stay home for one Saturday like your brother, Matt, instead of roaming around?"
"Aunt, I know I have chores to do, but I have to go on a very important errand. I'm sure the chores can wait."
She rolled her eyes "what is this 'important errand' you have?" she asked.
"I can't tell you."
"Can't or won't."
"Both."
"Don't act smart with me, young lady. Alright, you can go now. But, you will have to do twice your chores. Deal?"
"Deal." I sighed. My aunt always know how to take advantage of a situation. But, I'm not her niece for nothing. I can be as sly as she is." ~evil grin~
I skipped out of the house, a plan forming in my head. But, it'll have to wait. I have a house to investigate.
Suddenly, Jessica come in front of me from nowhere. She nearly gave me a heart attack. I swear that girl will be the death of me someday.
After a few minutes of lecture from me to her to not to do it again which I know she'll do it again, we start to head to the haunted house. I can't wait to see if the rumors are true.
