Marshall Lees POV;

I glanced over at Fionna who was shoving her hair im back into her hat. I shook my head, "you should keep it down." I said quietly.

She eyed me carefully, "was that sarcasm?"

"No." I scoffed. "You act like I'm a mean person." I smirked, knowing that I wasn't that great of a person. But I wouldn't be that mean to Fionna.

Truthfully I had actually paid a lot of attention to her sense she stated going to our school. She was probably the most beautiful creature I'd ever seen. But I wasn't stupid. I knew she had a thing for Gumwad, just like all the other girl in our school did. But she got rejected. Like three times. How stupid of Gumball to reject such a beautiful creature.

Her cheeks burned red as she looked away from me, "so where are we going?" She looked straight ahead and pointed at the clearing we were coming to. "What's that?"

I smirked, staying quiet until we were just about out. "This, Fi, is my paradise."

"Whoa..." She marveled, the clearing had brought us to a large field with tall towering trees that surrounded us, closing us in. She turned to look at the waterfall that was just a little to the right of where she was looking now. The waterfall had rocks towering around it, and ass the water fell, it ran smoothly into a river that exited through a space in the trees.

"Like it?" I asked, going to the edge of the water and sitting down. I looked up at her as she followed me over. She continued to look around in aw ex

"It's beautiful..." She said quietly.

"Yeah..." I couldn't draw my eyes from her, "beautiful."

She looked down at me, her cheeks burning pink again as she sat down and pulled her shoes off to dip her feet in the water. She dipped her feet in, a huge smile crossing her face. "Oh it's so warm, Marshall Lee!" She exclaimed dipping her hands in and splashing a bit.

I watched her for a second, "wanna go swimming?"

She pulled back and laughed, "you're kidding right?"

I lifted my brow and leaned in closer to her. She froze as I met her eyes, "ya scared?" I asked, my voice low and scratchy. I quickly jumped up and tugged my shirt off. I looked down at her before she could look away, her cheeks turning read again. She was easily flustered, and man was it cute.

"Marshall, you can't be serious!" She turned to me again, trying her hardest not to check out my body.

I motioned to my abs, "it's okay, Fionna. You can look at my gorgeous body." I nodded at her and closed my eyes. "I am a god."

"Marshall." She said with annoyance in her voice, but when I looked at her, her face was red as she looked away from me.

I smiled and dove into the deep pong that the water fall fell into. The water felt warm on my skin. As I came up for air, I tossed my hair to the side and let out a howl. I looked to see Fionna standing at the edge with her hands over her mouth.

"You scared me!" She yelled, chucking a shoe at me.

I ducked down before the shoe could hit me. "What did I do?!" I yelled, grabbing the shoe and throwing it back on land.

"You were under the water forever!" She hollered, running a hand over her hat.

I smirked, "you were worried about me?"

She glared at me and turned her back to me, "take me home, Marshall."

I swam quietly over to her, then splashed her with water. She screamed, turning to glare at me some more.

"Whao, if looks could kill." I mused, swimming out deeper. "You coming in, Fi?"

She shook her head and crossed her arms over her chest. "I want to go home, Marshall!" She called out to me.

I ignored her and swam to the rocks. Party pooper, Fionna. I decided to climb them, grabbing onto one I hiked up my weight and began to climb from rock to rock.

"Marshall Lee, be careful!" Fionna yelled at me.

I was up pretty high now, so I turned to look at her, waving a little bit. "I'm Fi-"

My hand slipped. I lost my footing. Everything happened so quickly as I fell quickly to the water. It must have been Karma because I got swept up under the water fall, the water hammering me down deeper and deeper, knocking the air from my lungs.

I tried to hold my breath, but soon I find myself gasping, water flooding into my lungs, burning me from the inside out.

I felt ah and grab mine as I was hauled to the surfaced, but I was dragged down by the water in my lungs, slowly slipping in to unconsciousness.
