"Ahhh!", "No... No...you got meh", I said fake dieing. My best friend Javonte was smiling victoriously.

"I warned you. You cant beat the mastaah', He said while lifting up his arms and showing his little muscles. I was stronger than him, but he would get mad if I commented too much about it. Boys.

"I would have gone a little easier on you this time Toi but I decided not to since you punched me for that cookie yesterday." He said. "I won the cookie fair and square and you took it, now its pay back." He continued.

Honestly, I stopped listening to him when he said mastaah. He talks a lot but I still love him. He's the only friend I have since 1st grade. Now we are going to 5th grade and we're excited. We were going to be the head of the school.

"Tory come inside, its getting dark." My mom called out from the kitchen. Javonte lived in my neighborhood, about a good 10 minute walk away from my house. "Javon, call your mama so she wont get worried since its getting dark", My mom said

"Okay", He said. We made our way to the living room where we watched movies sometimes. When we sat down, he pull out his cell phone and dialed his mom's number. I was a Little jealous of him since he got a phone before me but I got over it.

When he was done talking to his Ma, he told my mom that she went shopping and will come pick him up while she's passing our house to go home. That meant more time with Javonte. Yay.

Then he dropped himself on the couch by me and asked what movie we were watching today. We decided to watch Nemo in my room since my mom was talking too loud on the phone, so we couldn't hear the T.v.

Plus he said that he had to give me my present. It was my birthday but I only spent it with Javon, his family and my family. They all left a couple of hours ago, but Javonte got bored at his house so he walked to mine.

Once I put Nemo on I went on my bed beside Javon and laid my head on his shoulder. I felt really safe around Javonte, he was 3 inches taller than me, had beautiful skin, milk chocolate eyes, and 1 dimple on his left cheek. I always found that weird. If your going to have a dimples, have them on both cheeks. But he was original, and it made me love him even more.

"so..." I said trying to get him to give me my present already. He already made me wait 2 hours for it and I think that was enough torture for a day.

"Dam Toi, you really gotta learn how to be patient", he chuckled. I just narrowed my eyes at him making him laugh more. This kid is about to get punch any second now if he wont give me my got damn present right now.

He look at me and smiled and pulled out a tiny white box with a gold colored bow. The box was beautiful and it even had my name in cursive on the bottom of the box with gold hearts around it. How sweet.

"Open it", he urged, Now look who's being inpatient.

I opened it only to find a silver half hearted necklace that said 'Best'. I was totally confused. where's the other half? Javon noticed my confusion so he took something out of under his shirt.

It revealed the same exact heart shape but it was the missing one. I Looked at the word and it said 'Friend'. He came close to me and took both the necklaces in hand and put them together. Both of them drew together like magnets. it read 'Best Friend'.
