Lila stepped out of the doors of her school, holding her hand out as cold, droplets of water splattered on the palm of her hand. With a sigh, she stepped back into the safety of the school. In the process of moving, she felt a thump against her leg. Her soft, blue eyes seem to light up as they landed on a box!

Normal people don't have obsessions with boxes... right? Well then Lila isn't normal.

See, Lila has a bunch of boxes at home that for some odd reason, she just won't throw away! Now because of her obsession, her room is filled to the brim them. Her parents will absolutely not, allow her to bring home anymore! If she does, she will have all of them taken away from her, and she wouldn't want that to happen.

Inside the box she found a small kitten, the kitten was covered in black, and gray patches were plotted all over its body. Its eyes were the just the cutest things in the world! She couldn't let it get socked in the rain! She had to take it home! (In the box of course!)

But what about her parents?! They'd let her keep it, right? Oh, who was she kidding! They'd surely take away all her precious boxes, and make her put the kitten back where she found it. What was she going to do!

Then suddenly, she had an idea!
She was going to make that kitten a home with all her boxes! Her parents won't mind... PLUS! the kitten would have a home! This was the best idea she ever had! And as quick as a flash, she was gone, into the cold, wet rain! Grabbing the box with the kitten in the process.
The keys jingled as she unlocked the door to her home. Her honey blonde hair dripped with water and splattered on the ground as she looked for signs of anyone. She could hear the water in the kitchen running as she took her shoes off and ran up the stairs, leaving a trail of water behind her.

She dumped her backpack from school onto her bed and plopped the kitten in the box behind her bed. Phew, no one saw me. Then she began to change from her soaked, uncomfortable uniform, to an oversized, purple top and black tracksuit pants. Time to get to work! She thought as she closed the door to her room... a little too loud.

"Lila, was that you?" She heard her mum shout from the kitchen.

"Yeah mum! I'm doing my homework! Where's dad?" She shouted back through the door.

"He went on a business trip, he'll be back in 3 weeks. What do you want for dinner?"

  "Can we order pizza?"

  "Okay!"

Okay! Now it's time to get to work!

It took a couple of weeks, with her mum questioning why she could hear meowing, and why she kept taking water to her room, but she insisted that she was watching cat videos and that she was trying to be more hydrated. She did get sick after running in the rain though, which meant that her mum kept coming into her room, but in the end, she luckily didn't get caught.

Finally, after her dad came home, it was time to persuade her parents into letting her keep the kitten.
________
In the kitchen, on the brown table, was a meeting about a certain cat.

"Mum!" Lila said in a loud tone. "It'll help with my box problem! And you don't have to help take care of it! I promise!"

"Lila, I'm sorry, but we can't keep it. Your father is allergic to cats, why do you think he isn't in the room!" Her mother replied gesturing to the cat in Lila's hands.

Disappointed, Lila replied in a sad voice, "B-b-but, it doesn't have a home to go to. Where will it go?" She pouted, her eyes glazed over with tears and her lip shivered.

"We can put it up for adoption, how about that? It can stay here till it gets adopted. We'll put up a few posters around our area, okay?" Her mother asked.

Immediately a smile bloomed onto Lila's face and her mother returned it. "Okay!" she replied.
________
A week or two later, it was time for Lila to say goodbye to the cat she grew to love over the month of knowing it. The goodbye was short and sweet as they gave the cat to the new owners. The new owners agreed that Lila could come and visit the cat, now named Biscuits, anytime she wanted.

During the goodbye between a cat and a girl, a figure watched from a window and celebrated, "Thank god that darn cat is gone, I CAN WALK AROUND THE HOUSE FREELY NOW WITHOUT SNEEZING, WOO!"
