This one is a work of fiction really. Based on a character of mine who lost his brother when he was younger. Enjoy.
Like the lion to it's cubs.
Like the mountain to the valley below.
You protect me from danger.
You stand tall and hide me from the rain.
Like the ocean to the marine.
Like the sky to the fowl.
You envelop me and help me to breathe
You lift me above the clouds and help me be free.
Like the Sun for the Earth
Like the home for the Family.
You are the light in my darkness.
You are my shelter in the night.
Yet unlike these things
always so close at hand
You've traveled so far.
To a world, I do not yet understand.
Why do you leave me?
My guardian, my light, my protector, and shelter.
Alone and afraid.
In danger, in the dark, alone, and cold.
You leave me to the world.
You leave me to the dark.
You leave me to the crushing pain
A hole you once filled.
It's not your fault.
You had no choice.
This was not your doing.
But I miss you all the same.
Brother... big brother...
I love you so.
I want you by my side again.
Please...
Come back home.
