Little Maddie woke up from a dream.
She looked up to see nothing but the dark room.
She carefully climbed out of her small bed and landed on the floor with a thud.
She walked to the stairs and held on to the railing one step at a time.
She heard yelling by the time she reached the bottom of the stairs.
Her little head peered around the corner.
All she saw was her mother and father yelling.
Sarah was frustrated.
She's been fighting with her boyfriend Glenn for weeks now.
"I think we need to break up" She whispered.
"It's for the best" He mumbled.
"But what about Noah, Maddie, And Patricia?" She asked.
"They can visit you on weekends" she said. As he nodded.
"I'll pack up tomorrow and leave by 7pm" he assured her.
'Leave why?' Maddie asked herself.
That's when it was clear that her daddy was leaving.
