Stopping Tsubaki

Sakuya and Kuro.The liar and the failure.

Sakuya stood outside the door ready for a fight.He heard the commotion downstairs,and knew Kuro had won.Which meant the servamp was headed his way.In his hands was his chainsaw, his red eyes almost seeming to glow.Kuro reached the third floor and paused.There was no sign of anyone that he could see yet.He was sure more of Tsubaki's subclass would be waiting up here.Then again..the feeling he had that it was too late would explain their absence.No need to stop him,if their plan had already succeeded.No,he had to stop thinking that way.Mahiru had to be alive,he must be.He cannot become Tsubaki's subclass.

As he walked down the hall he saw Sakuya,and was filled with hatred(That bastard..Mahiru stood up for him,wanting to help him.And this is how he repays his friend?)Kuro thought glaring at the green haired forever a teenage boy.Sakuya saw Kuro and smiled preparing for the fight. But was taken by surprise when Kuro didn't attack,instead spoke. "So everything was a lie?"He said..trying his best to remain calm. "You said you cared about Mahiru,that he was your friend. Yet..here you are helping Tsubaki kill him."The servamp added in a harsh tone staring at Sakuya.The subclass remained silent,not sure how to react.He then gritted his teeth and let out a growl at Kuro.

"If you were a better servamp he wouldn't be here.All you do is make things worse huh? Mahiru may trust me,but he trusts you even more,and you couldn't even keep him safe."Sakuya snarled.He was angry.He was angry because Kuro was basically right about him.No real friend would do this,which made him a liar yet again.And he was angry that he had secretly trusted that Kuro would keep his friend safe,and failed.Because of his loyalty to Tsubaki,Mahiru's over trusting nature,and Kuro's failure,Mahiru was dying.There was a chance he was already dead,since he was so close to death right before he left the room.Part of Sakuya hated himself, part hated Tsubaki,and part hated Kuro.

He didn't like the idea of Mahiru becoming a subclass..but he couldn't stop it.Besides he had a job right now.To stop Kuro from getting to Tsubaki and Mahiru.Kuro remained quiet at Sakuya's statement. (He is right..I failed.This is my fault as much as Tsubaki's and his.If I had never met Mahiru none of this would of happened.)Kuro thought looking down.He closed his eyes again trying to see if he could sense Mahiru.He could feel what he assumed to be Tsubaki not far away,and Sakuya's aura,which was..radiating what felt like sadness and regret.Kuro looked up at him. "Why,why would you allow this?"He asked approaching Sakuya.Sakuya froze. "You know,the more we talk the less chance of saving Mahiru there is."Sakuya added,to Kuro's surprise his voice sounded not only sincere,but worried.Was he actually worried about Mahiru?

Kuro raised an eyebrow at his opponent,the one who once called himself Mahiru's friend.Part of him didn't want to fight him,perhaps because he knew how much Mahiru cared.But there was no choice.The Servamp ran at Sakuya dodging the chainsaw and slicing at him.Something about Sakuya's attacks suggested he wasn't actually trying to hurt Kuro,nor was he really trying to block any of Kuro's attacks.That's when it hit him.Sakuya didn't want to fight he had to,and from his actions it would appear he was purposefully trying to lose and maybe even get killed.(Is he actually trying to make me kill him?) Kuro though dodging the chainsaw,which was none fatally aimed at his arm.

Kuro knew..Sakuya wasn't going to stop willingly,but he wasn't going to try and win.No he wanted Kuro to win,even at the cost of his own life.Which meant he actually did care for Mahiru.

"What a pain."Kuro said softly deciding what to do.As Sakuya moved past him again Kuro saw a chance to strike.Without hesitation he sliced through Sakuya's chest watching the subclass collapse.Though...he aimed it just right that Sakuya was merely paralyzed for a while,not dead.He'd spare him,for now.(Dammit..why didn't he just kill me?)Sakuya wondered as Kuro ran towards the door Sakuya had been guarding.Apartment 3E.
