Kennedy's POV:
"Oh hey, dad."
"Hey honey, are you here with somebody or you're just by yourself?"
"Um, I'm here with mom?"
"Kennedy, what do you think about this one?" my mom came up to me with a bag and she looked up to see my dad. You should've seen her face. It was priceless.
It was an awkward situation. I didn't know what to do or what to say.
"Well, nice to see you dad. Mom and I are gonna be on our way."
"Kennedy, I want to get a chance to have dinner with you sometimes."
I just looked at him. I didn't know what to say so I just lead my mom away from him and kept walking.
Dinner with him? Can I do it? After he kidnapped me?
"Are you getting the bag, Mom?"
"Hmm..maybe."
"I'll let you decide and I'm going to the food court to get us some fro-yo?" (frozen yogurt)
"Yeah, go ahead honey."
I walked out of the store and headed straight towards the food court. I love food, what can I say.
The line for the yogurt place is massive. There was people waiting outside out the store.
"Man, fuck this." I muttered under my breathe. I looked around to see if anyone heard me. Whew. Nobody heard me.
Where should I go now? I saw that the Chinese place didn't have that much customers. Hey, you can never have enough Chinese food. It's the truth.
--
After I bought my food, I sat down at the tables at the food court. I tried to not get everything on the menu because that would make me look fat since it looks like I'm just buying food for myself.
"Hey, Ken. Why didn't you get yogurt?" My mom sat down in front of me.
"The line was too long for me to handle." My mom made a face at me.
"You have to have patience."
"Yeah yeah, I know."
--
We finished our food and left the mall. I've been at the mall too long. We drove home.
"Austin!"
"Yeah!?"
"I'm home!"
"I know!" I laughed at his stupidity. I wonder what's so important he's doing up there that he's not coming down.
"What are you doing up there?"
"It's a surprise!"
My mom walked in with her shopping bags. "What's all this yelling I'm hearing? There's neighbors you know!"
I laughed at my mom. "Austin won't come down."
She laughed. "Well, I'm gonna be in my room looking at my new clothes."
"You're so weird mom."
"I know!" She shouted in her room.
I went upstairs to see what Austin was doing. I guess he was in his studio. Yep, I was right! I peeked my head in and he was at the table writing something I couldn't read where I was at. I tried to tip-toe closer to see.
"Uh-huh, it's a surprise!" He turned around so suddenly it made me jump.
"Austin! You scared me!" I punched his shoulder trying to hurt him but failed with my weak arms.
"I know! I saw you jump, it was funny." He was laughing.
I turned around pretending to cry. Another trick in the book.
He instantly stopped laughing. He stood up and grabbed my shoulders to turn me around.
"Kennedy, I'm so so sorry for scaring you I didn't mean it." He pulled my hands from my face.
"Hahaha! Got you!" He dropped his hands from my hands and smacked his lips and turned around.
"You play too much, Ken." He sat back down in his chair.
I walked slowly up to him. I put my hands around his shoulders and kissed his neck. His head moved back. He turned around quickly and put his lips on mine. I wrapped my leg around his waist. I swear I love this boy so fucking much. I can't even describe my feelings toward him.
