Chapter 22

HARPER'S POV

That night it seemed as if we were all still on high alert. Zenith made a bunch of excusing about needing to make sure that my body was find and thoroughly check me all night long.

The next morning we didn't even roll out of bed until 12. "Are you sure Elena is going to be fine with Mia?" I asked for the umpteenth time.

Zenith growled, biting my shoulder, making me smack him.

"That hurts!" I whined, glaring over my shoulder at him.

"For the last time, if my mother can raise both me and Cassie, then she can handle Mia for a couple of days." He finalizing, pushing me off the bed.

I rolled my eyes at him as we walked into the bathroom.

"By the way...where would you like to hold the wedding?" Zenith asked as we stepped into the shower.

"Oh... I really didn't think about that." I muttered,

Would I have our wedding at Zenith's pack or this pack? My family would definitely be attending, but which side would travel? Not to mention it won't be long until I'll have to leave the pack. I am Luna and have duties and that job at the preschool, but I feel as if I haven't spent nearly enough time with my family.

We finished showering with me deep in my thoughts as I analyzed every possibility.

"Hey, you don't have to dwell too much on it for now. We still have time, love." Zenith whispered after we were dressed.

"Y-Yeah, ok." I mumbled still not satisfied with that.

"But when are we going back?" I asked,

"...When you want to. The problem back to the pack was resolved so there's no emergency." He stated,

I found Mom in the terrace, sitting with some women.

"Harper, Zenith come! I'd like you to meet some of my friends. One of them just happens to be an event planner." She said, ushering us over.

"This is Miranda Cruz, Isis Fernandez, and Arelis Campbell. Isis is the event planner and I was talking to her about your wedding!" Mom explained and we greeted them.

"Ladies, this is only daughter as you all know, Harper and Zenith who is her mate and an Alpha at that." Mom said,

"Umm, Mom I was actually thinking that I wasn't going to jump into the wedding so soon. We just got engaged and I want to take some time until then." I stated hesitantly.

"If that's fine with you, but I don't see the rush in us getting married." I quickly added turning to Zenith.

"I have no objection. Whatever you decide on, I'll be right behind you." He said, kissing my cheek.

I grinned up at him and thanked him.

"Oh, well that's fine too! You guys have the rest of your lives together so there's no issue." Mom said,

"Also I think it would be best that I return back to the back next week. I've left when I hardly even took over as Luna." I added,

Mom gaped at me, but nodded her head.

"That's understandable, but it makes me side that you'll be leaving." She said and I moved over to hug her.

"I'll come and visit and promise to call." I vowed and hugged her.

"That works for me." She stated,

We changed the subject to something lighter and it felt nice talking normally with Zenith by my side.
