A Story Of Magic and Monsters

Prelude

Let me tell you a story...

A story of love, magic, and monsters.

It started, as most stories tend to do, with a boy meeting a girl...

The girl was excited, naive, and loud.

The boy was brooding, dark, and quiet.

Both were wronged by men petty rivalries, their home, destroyed.

They met others, a lizard man named Teep. A marksman, and a friend.

She brought out a side of him he thought he'd forgotten, and he taught her the world.

The boy fell in love with the girl.

But, no good things last forever, eventually the boy found that the girl had a secret, she was practicing science, the very thing that destroyed their home.

Their was a fight, a decision, and the girl left.

The boy was left alone, living in the ruins of their once great home, both the structure, and his heart fell into disrepair.

The girl, after wandering for some time, with Teep found a great castle, the lab of a mad scientist, Lalnable Hector.

It was there she learned of the fate of the boy and their home. A bomb a nuke, placed underneath And with that, she came home.

The boy stared at her, they both had changed, she laughed at his disheveled appearance, and smiled, ruffling her own hair to match.

"Science and Magic can work together!" She cried, and said she knew about the nuke, the boy at first, was apprehensive, but invited her back into their home.

The girl made a decision, to disarm the great ball of destruction beneath the earth, she gave him time to gather up their things and made him start walking, sending Teep with him.

Ten minutes and seven seconds later, the only thing left of their home, was a crater, a deep, irradiated pit.

Immediately, he flew back, searching for any sign of the girl he loved, until he saw the lake where the girl first fell into his life.

He stared up at the sky, until a blur of red landed and sunk within the depths.

He dove, and in his arms was the girl, mangled and broken, green in her hair from the blast, and her arm, destroyed.

The boy fled, using his magic to keep her alive, and after many days, he came upon a desert village, where she could be helped.

Teep set up camp nearby, small, but defended by his skill.

Months passed, and the boys Magic started to fade, keeping the girl alive was too much for him.

The girl finally awoke, and stared at her lost appendage, she laughed and started work on a mechanical arm.

During that time the boy confronted the scientist, and with a threat of the man's life, a shaky cease fire was formed.

Now the Three set their camp up to be more permanent.

However across the desert and the sea, the mad scientist plots revenge, but before it can take place, he disappears.

Lalna, with all the features of the scientist before him, runs the castle, the lab growing more disorganized, something had changed.

And again, a boy meets a girl...
