The Unthinkable

Chapter 10

Allie's POV- In the air

I hop onto Thor's shoulders. He whispers into my ear," I am going to take a detour later if thats alright with you?"

"of course!" I respond.

He starts to rev up and in no time we are in the air. It's thrilling! I wish I could fly. The winds whips through my hair. To my surprise the song, "fall into the sky" plays thorugh the city. Ironic. Harry and Megan are being held by Iron Man. Already I see that Iron Man is going to win. He has more speed. Thor gives me nudge on my leg and then makes a sudden turn. I see Megan and Harry look confused. Iron Man didn't even realize it! Hah. Amatuers. I have no idea where we are flying to until I see that we are heading to a huge building right next to the Empire State Building. We stop onto the Chrysler Building's antenna. It's such a long way down. I would surely die if I fell. This is not the time to be clumsy Allie, I think to myself. Ask yourself why Thor brought you here. I look at Thor's eyes. They are so beutiful. God, why I can't I bring myself to kiss him? He looks onto the skyline. I hold his hands in mine. It begins to rain. Like a romantic rain you see in the movies. I turn around to face him, put on a brave face on, and press my lips to his. Rain falls all around us creating a scene you would only see in the movies. It's so romantic. He puts his left hand through my hair. His right hand on my lower back. I have my hands behind his neck. Never letting go of him. He becomes a slight aggressive as do I. We smile between kisses. Not speaking so we won't break the moment. He keeps me pressed to him. His lips are warm and they feel designed to be shut. I loose all track of time. I know we stay kissing until the rain stops. We pull back at the same time and blush. He carries me to the observation deck. We sit on it and watch the sun peak up out of the horizon. Wow, morning came fast. Then a sound beeps into my ear. I fogot they gave us earpieces so we can always be communicated with. Thor presses a hand on his ear. A voice speaks into my ear," Hello fellow Agents, We need you to come into the base and report to the conference room at once." Thats weird, the voice sounded like Coulsen's. He is dead though. What is going on?

Megan's POV- The conference hall

Okay long story short, we got to the Base approxmately 10 minutes before Liam and Eleni. Harry and I went to his room and sat on his bed and ate pizza until Eleni and Liam entered. Eleni and Liam looked pissed to be honest with you. I knew she was going to give a speech. I wondered where Allie and Thor were? Anyways, we got a message to be in the conference hall asap. Eleni said she was going to have a talk with us later. I could tell she was mad but more confused on what she should think. I meant well but I never had a chance to tell her. We all went down the hall together without saying a word. Except Harry whispered something into Liam's ear and they both smiled, although I couldn't hear what they said. So, now we are sitting in the conference room, waiting for everyone to come in. Captain comes in and takes a seat at the other head of the table. Close to Eleni. Liam is across from her and I sit next to her. I save a seat for Alllie. Allie and Thor comes in. I give her a glare. I see Thor has a lipstick stain on his cheek. Eleni notices it too and chuckles to her. Allie sits down. Eleni says," Did you do that to him" with a slight laugh and a smile. Allie nods and blushes. I nudge Eleni in the elbow and she nudges back. She can't stay made forever at me. I smile to myslef.Thor sits across from allie and Harry sits next to him, across from me. Hah we are all in line. The other Avengers come in. Zayn,Louis,and Niall, come in after them. Then, who I think is Agent Coulsen, Agent Hill, Skye, Fitz Simmons, and ward come in. How can Coulsen be here? He's dead.

Eleni's POV

What in the name of? How is he here!? I'm so confused. I nudge Allie and Megan. Megan seems a bit confused. Allie looks outraged and confused to be honset. Maybe even a bit pissed. The boys give each other concerning glances. Captain looks astonished and tense. I place a hand on his, but then pull it back. He tuned a little relaxed when I touched him but I keep my eyes off of him. I feel him staring at me, watching my reaction. I try to be expressionless but that fails. He can see right through me. He puts a hand on mine which lays on my theugh under the table. Liam doesn't notice. I stiffen, but then sink into it. I'm so confused, my head hurts. I feel dizzy. To be honest with myself, I am still confused about last night. I was mad and pissed but I cant's stay like that forvever. I have to talk to them to let them know. I have to know their reasons for coming to the concert last night. I snap back into reality when Coulsen starts to speak ," So I'm sure you are all wondering, why are we all here and why am I alive. I can only answer one of those questions. Now the reason you are all here today is because Chicago has been attacked. By an unknown species. It's not aliens but-" I interrupt him," Mutants".

"And what is your name?" he asks me.

" Eleni. Now is it a possibility they are mutants?" I say.

"Its a possibility." Ward speaks. Coulsen gives me a nod. Allie opens her eyes at me. Her eyes scream, "Mutants? X-Men?!".

Allie speaks up," The X-men of course right?"

Skye replies," Maybe. They haven't disturbed us in years though. I have some videos of them. I tracked every camera in Chicago but noone seems to have gotten anything."

Captain sits silent and confused. I don't even think he knows what a mutant is. Liam and his band members play some sort of game not paying attention. The Avengers are all so focuesed.

Megan asks," What is a mutant and the X-men?"

Fitz replies," Mutants are a bit like aliens but they arent. For example, one may be a shape shifter, of can read people's minds. They make up The X-Men."

Simmons replies," Their DNA is different too".

We all nod in agreement.

" So what's our move?" Captain replies. He's so focused and political. He needs to soften up. I have a way to make him softer.

" You will all be going to Chicago to talk to whatever was there" Coulsen says.

"Cool. Lets do it." I speak up.
