Chapter 5: Reality Check

Artemis' P.O.V

I woke up at my room and my head felt like it was gonna split. I remember what happened last night and I checked the mirror. Good, I still had my reflection..I was making sure. I'm not even sure if he WAS a vampire. I just smiled and blushed. Hehe, I actually liked it. It's a weekend but I still need to go to school. I showered and got dressed and prepared to go to school. I walked outside greeting my neighbors with a smile. Hmm, I wonder if he's awake. I took out my phone and searched his contact..he...wasn't there. I restarted my phone and did the same thing. Nothing. Huh..that's strange. I didn't delete his number. I shrugged it off and just went on my merry way.

Timeskip (School)

I finished the things I had to do for today, so I just decided to walk around the hall. I saw flash and his friends. Oh yeah..he beat them up. I can't believe he didn't get in trouble though. "Hey flash. How's it going?" I said to him. He looked at me and replied, "Oh, hey G." What's G supposed to mean? "So...you guys, doing okay?" I questioned everyone. "Oh yeah, we just got into a little fight." He laughed. "Uh huh, he beat you up, right?" He looked at me strangely. "Who did? We got into a fight with each other." Those words sent a shiver down my spine. "What're you talking about..?" I questioned him. "We got into a fight with each other. No one beat us up." I started to raise my voice a little. "That can't be true..ahaha..you got into a fight with katsuhira." He gave me a strange look. "You okay..? Sorry G, we don't know any katsuhira." My eyes widened..it can't be. I ran as fast as I could, I dashed to his house..

Where it's supposed to be..

I could only whimper in fear..there was nothing there. Just..a plain field. That can't be right, a checked again. Yeah. A bite mark. I was sure that this wasn't an ordinary bite. No insect could've done THIS. I started laughing out of here..I couldn't believe it..no, flash was probably messing with me. But his house-..no, I must've took the wrong route. After all, when we walked here..I didn't really see coz' of the rain. Yeah..that's gotta be it. I walked straight home to clear my head.

Timeskip (Home)

I took another shower and I was really in deep thought. What happened today..? I was probably tired. "Yeah..I was just stressed." "Is that really the case..?" I turned and saw no one. That was his voice. I'm probably going crazy..he's not a vampire. He's not a vampire. I kept repeating the thought. I turned off the tap and I grabbed my towel. I dried myself up and put some clothes on. I walked to the mirror to comb my hair and I saw...him. He was at the bed. His red eyes piercing through me again. It's like, he's looking directly at my soul..I couldn't move. I couldn't look away. I was paralyzed. Until I blinked. He was gone. I can't keep calm about this..what's going on? Am I haunted or am I just love struck?! I can't handle this. I looked at the clock..11:30. I decided to sleep. I let myself get taken by sleep and dozed off.

But..

It's strange..

I could've sworn...

I heard someone say...

"GOODNIGHT, DEAR."
