The story begins with Pragya's father insisting that she should marry his friend's son, Neil Kapoor. Pragya strongly opposes this idea, stating that she has no interest in marriage at the moment. However, her father emphasizes that it's a matter of their family's prestige and gives her just one day to prepare for the wedding. Feeling trapped and unsure of what to do, Pragya decides to write a letter explaining her feelings. In the letter, she states that she is not ready for marriage and that she's running away until her father understands her perspective. She leaves the letter on the table and gathers her car keys, debit card, and phone.

Pragya takes her car and drives away from her home, her emotions a mix of anger and depression. During her journey, she receives a call from Bulbul, but before she can say anything, Bulbul shouts at her, expressing her concern. Pragya retorts, frustrated, and explains that her father isn't listening to her wishes. She asserts her decision not to marry and declares her intention to run away until she decides to return. Bulbul implores her to at least call her parents since they are worried about her, but Pragya refuses, still angry at them for the situation she's in. She ends the call and switches off her mobile.Pragya continues driving until her car runs out of petrol. She finds herself in a location that seems familiar from a dream she had earlier, but she's not in a bridal dress this time, so she doesn't fear being kidnapped. She turns her mobile back on to determine her exact location. Unfortunately, she discovers her battery is low, making it difficult to check her GPS.Realizing she's in Pune, far from Mumbai, Pragya decides to stay at a hotel near the Pune branch of the Mehra Group of Industries, where she was recently transferred for work. While contemplating her options, she attempts to hitch a ride but finds that no one is willing to help. Frustrated and exhausted, she resigns herself to sit in her car.Suddenly, the same three men she saw in her earlier dream approached her car. Pragya panics and considers hiding inside her vehicle. The men inquire if she has any problems or needs assistance, as they've noticed her car hasn't moved for the past 30 minutes. Pragya, wary of their intentions, mentions that her car has run out of petrol, and she's waiting for help. The men scrutinize her before offering assistance, and opening her car door.However, Pragya declines their help, insisting that she can manage on her own. To her shock, they forcibly pull her out of her car and inform her that they are kidnapping her. As she cries out for help, they assure her that no one is around to hear her and that they will take care of her. They proceed to drag her away.

The story takes an intense turn as Pragya finds herself in a perilous situation, kidnapped by --these mysterious men in Pune.

In Pune, a few days earlier, a grand mansion stands proudly with a sign at its entrance that reads "Mehra Mansion." Let's now meet our hero of the show, Abhishek Mehra. He's having a hurried breakfast, while his grandmother, Dadi, scolds him for his haste.

Dadi: Abhi, please eat slowly. Why are you in such a rush?Abhi: Dadi, I have an important meeting today, and I need to meet Tanu. She's upset with me for not giving her enough time.Dadi: I don't like Tanu at all. She seems to be interested in your fame and wealth, Abhi. Why don't you listen to me?Abhi: Dadi, you dislike her because of her culture and dressing style. That's why you have these feelings.Dadi: I can see how she treats you, Abhi. She always drags you along for shopping, and she often leverages your name to secure her modelling contracts. Can't you see that? You could test her intentions.Abhi: Alright, I'll put her to the test. If she isn't a gold-digger, will you agree to our marriage?Dadi: Certainly, and if you lose, you'll have to marry a girl of my choice.Abhi: Okay, I agree with that. So, what's the plan to test her?Dadi: Tell her that you've transferred all your property into my name and that if you want to marry Tanu, you must give up all your assets and work as an ordinary employee in your own company. This way, we can have a simple married life.Abhi: Dadi, is this your plan? You're not skilled at testing people. She'll agree to marry me, Dadi. Do we have a deal?Abhi: Deal.Abhi heads to the office to attend his meeting and make preparations for his upcoming trip to Mumbai. He returns home to get ready for the next day. Dadi approaches him and asks if he tested his girlfriend's intentions.Abhi: I'm sorry, Dadi. I forgot to test her. Let me test her now.Dadi: Okay, I'll pack your things for your Mumbai trip in the meantime.Abhi: Alright, bye, Dadi. I have to go.In a coffee bar café:Tanu: Abhi, you mentioned you wanted to discuss something important.Abhi: Yes, all my property is now in my Dadi's name, including the company.Tanu: What, Abhi? It's your property. Why did you put it in your Dadi's name? What will she do with it?Abhi: It's my decision, Tanu. It's my property, and I can do what I want. I don't need your permission.Tanu: I'm sorry, Abhi. I misunderstood you. I was just wondering how your Dadi would manage all this property at her age.Abhi: It's not as you think. She's older and wiser, so I've entrusted her with my property, and I've also told her about our love. She's a gold-digger.Dadi: I've been telling you that all along, but you didn't listen. Leave that aside. You need to leave for Mumbai, right? I've packed your things.
