ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ғɪᴠᴇ - { ʀᴀᴄᴇ }

Today the day has finally come, the rising sun singles the day to start. The clouds forming into weird shapes floating slowly despite the wind is blowing. Group of Alphas from the Academy got off the dorms wearing their running outfits, Shouto and Bakugou not far from the others having a confident face, well emotionless for Shouto. The blonde smirked knowing today's the race and he's sure the race will be challenging as always.

The race is a way for Alphas to find the omegas of their liking or having a strong connection with, their job as Alphas is to catch their prey and bite them to claim them theirs before time runs out. However he is the hard part, after the race the mated couple will go to the Omegas place and meet the parents. The parents will make the decision if the alpha have the permission to keep their Omega, if they don't then the Alpha and the omega won't be mated and the mark the Alpha once bit on the neck will fade. And that Alpha have to wait another year to get a new omega or never at all.

The two boys find it complicated and worried that whoever is Izuku's Guardian they'll either accept or get kicked out and never see their precious friend again. But they are prepared for what's coming. The Alphas walked towards the big arena that was used for the festival, now today they'll be using the arena for the race.

"Damn these lowlife fuckers, I will make sure they'll get hell if they get to to Izuku " Bakugou growled

"in the rules it says that we could use our quirks to attack other alphas, along with Omegas " Todoroki read the rule book he grabbed few minutes ago before entering the arena, he looked up and glared seeing his father the number two hero Endeavor glancing down at him. He growled underneath his breath.

Shouto knew his father only came to make sure he grab the right omega to create a strong spouse for the family name. Despite the fact Shouto doesn't care, he's free to do what he wants and he won't care if his father yells at him. He and Bakugou will get their Omega, their precious Izuku.

Izuku sat on the benches in the hallway, his eyes scanning the bandaged arms, he takes deep breath hoping to calm his anxiety. He felt someone tapping his shoulders, he looked up seeing his classmate Denki, also a omega.

"Nervous huh? "

"Yeah. Can believe today's the day, it went so fast... "

Denki chuckles sitting next to the green haired boy "Yeah all that training and being anxious made those three days gone in a flash " he then smiles at Izuku lightly putting thumbs up "but hey, in the end maybe today's the day we'll actually get our mates! "

Izuku remember that Denki also didn't join the race last year or the year before because events that happened, he was attacked by Alphas few months before the race and since that day he never sat or talk to any alphas in their class. Especially his best friend Kirishima who's an alpha.

"Are you sure you'll be alright Denki, the moment you go outside there's going to be alphas ready to bite you... " Izuku replied, the boy is the only one who knew about Denki's situation. Denki chuckles smiling more.

"I may be scared of them but today I have to overcome my fears, I don't want to become an easy target. I was once weak before, but I'll show them that I'm not! "

Izuku smiles at his friends determination, seeing how he's ready to face his biggest fears while having a smile on his face. He wished he was denki, ready to get over the past and start over, heading to a new path ignoring the past. However, that'll never happen. He still held the past in his heart, he doesn't want to remove the last, especially his mother. That's why izuku have scars in his arms, to remind him that he'll never escape the past.

They both talked for a while before Denki left to use the restroom. He takes a deep breath being alone again.

"Izuku, are you alright? " Aizawa walked up to him, a concerned look on his face. The boy shook his head showing his father a warm smile.

"Yeah... I guess so "

"Don't worry Izuku, everything will be fine. Once this race starts it'll finish like this " he snaps his fingers.

"I'm surprised that you didn't get caught despite the fact that you're also an omega " Izuku laughs "I heard that you're the hardest Omega to catch during your years here at UA "

Aizawa chuckled "I have ways, I'm not going to let some horny alphas bite me, heck they're also stupid forgetting that I could erase their quirks "

They both laugh making echoes throughout the empty hallways. Izuku felt a hand on his head looking up at his father. He lightly smile feeling his hair being petted.

"When you find your Alpha tell them your story.... Let them help you. I don't want you to hurt yourself again let alone.... " he big his lip, Aizawa just couldn't say that word. He was so used to it during his years, now he feared for it.

"Don't worry dad, I promise I will. I'll make sure they'll know my story "

"That's my boy now be ready, the race is starting soon "

With omegas now in the middle of the field with their collars off. They'll be ready to defend themselves from the Alphas that want to mark them. Izuku already have a plan and he'll make sure it'll work. He smiles lightly having determination that he will find his alpha.

"ALRIGHT EVERYONE!!!!! TODAY'S THE DAY IN WHICH THE ALPHA WILL CHASE FOR THEIR OMEGA'S!!! RULES ARE SIMPLE BOTH SIDES ARE ALLOWED TO USE THEIR QUIRKS, NO KILLING OF COURSE, YOUR TIME LIMIT IS AN HOUR, FAILED TO CAPTURE YOUR OMEGA THEN WAIT FOR ANOTHER YEAR!!! ALRIGHT LET'S GET STARTED!!!! " Present mic yelled over the speaker as everyone cheered.

"READY FOR COUNT DOWN!!!! "

Izuku took deep breaths position himself and brace for what's coming.

Shouto and Bakugou looked at each other nodding about the plan.

Aizawa watched from the staff window watching his son down below, worried for his future.

A figure watched the live event, a smirked plastered on its face.

"Time has come "

Omegas whispered to each other wishing each other good luck. Denki wished Izuku good luck while he did the same thing.

Then the gates opened.

The race has finally begun.

Ah I'm so happy!! This chapter took longer than I expected!

Anyways I wanted to add Denki in this story because he's a sunshine and it'll be nice to have him in the story.

Also papa Aizawa is worried!! Awwww soon ill write a chapter about whether or not Aizawa does get a mate because like the story is told he's the hardest omega to catch!
