Chapter 11

"Alice, it's me again. Please let me in." Mary begs through the other side of the door

Since returning back to Mary's house from being kidnapped and watching Frankie be murdered Alice has kept herself locked inside her bedroom. Refusing to talk to anyone. Her curtains have not been open since returning and the only time she has unlocked her door is to take food in that Mary or Mary's mum has left outside her bedroom door that day. She would barely eat any of it though, only an apple or a banana. Alice knew it was not good for the baby but she no longer wanted the baby. She decided the moment she got out of that hellish place that she would put it up for adoption. Mary would come to Alice's room everyday, sometimes begging, sometimes asking, sometimes demanding, and sometimes threatening her to let her in. She just wanted to be alone even if it was not good for her.

After Frankie got murdered a lot of stuff went down, Hiram Lodge came out of nowhere and demanded for the men to stand down and once they had put their guns down Alice watched FP appear and attack the man that had shot Frankie. Alice did not even have the strength to stop him because the man deserved every punch he got. Hiram pulled FP off the man once it looked like he was going to kill him. The other two men picked up the man who killed Frankie and left. Hiram picked up Frankie while FP picked up Alice who was still in shock. FP took Alice back to his house to clean her up but she was like a zombie, no words could come out of her mouth, she barely had the strength to move any part of her body. FP had to bath her, dress her, and put her to bed where she cried herself to sleep but the nightmares kept waking her up. The next morning Hiram Lodge came to the house and spoke to her,

"Alice, you can never tell the truth of what happened to Frankie. Frankie was never with you. You was the only person that they kidnapped Alice. My father has insured me that you will get a monthly amount of money to keep quiet and if you ever was to tell anyone the truth, Frankie's death would be blamed onto FP." Hiram informed her

Alice did not reply but she took everything in that he told her. FP then drove Alice to the police station where she went in by herself. The police took her in for questioning. Once the questioning was done the police drove her to Mary's house where she was welcomed with Mary's mother went to hug her but Alice flinched, pulled away, and went straight to her room and locked herself in. A few days later Frankie's body was found in a ditch in the woods near the Southside. The report in the newspaper was that a gang fight had got out of hand and Frankie got shot. It made Alice feel sick and angry. Not just with the Lodge family but with FP for standing by and allowing Frankie's body to rot in a ditch for days. Mainly she was angry because she blames FP for everything that happened.

Alice finally climbs out of her bed, feeling weak and tired from the lack of food and sleep. She opens the door to find Mary sitting on the floor but she quickly stands up when she sees Alice. She has bags under her eyes like she has not been getting enough sleep but Alice knows that she hasn't because of her room being next door to hers, she must hear when Alice screams in the nights from her nightmares. Alice leaves the door open and walks back over to her bed. Mary walks in and closes the door behind her. The room is dark and kind of smells. Mary makes her way over to Alice's bed and sits next to her, with a sad smile.

"Lets get you in the shower, then put some fresh clothes on, open the curtains, fresh bed sheets, and then maybe go and have something to eat?" Mary offers

"Do your parents know?" Alice asks

"That your pregnant? Yes. Mum and dad want to ask you what you want to do." Mary tells her

"I want to put it up for adoption." Alice says

"Are you sure?" Mary questions

"I am 100% positive. Could you tell your father I request a meeting with him tonight please." Alice tells her before standing up, grabbing a towel, and going into the bathroom. It was time for her to get her life back.
