Layla:
"...and then she told me how she was friends with Ari Mulbur, you know her of course though I couldn't place her until Mum told me, but then she spoke about how she created the places I go in our dreams, and that my magic helps her, it really is incredible how she does it."
I paused to munch on some more pancakes before explaining the rest of my dream.
"And then all about the Guardians, do you know anything about them? Well they don't seem nice at all. And...I think that's it in a nutshell, but a lot more detailed, she had to go after that."
I smiled up at a very bewildered Matt. His bright green eyes were focused on me while the corners of his mouth were turned up in a secret smile. His dark brown hair was tousled from sleeping and made him look rather adorable, I couldn't help but lean in and give him a quick peck on his lips.
"So...seems like someone had a busy night, and how is your breakfast?" He asked whilst brushing a strand of hair from my eyes.
"Yes indeed, I wanted to tell you as soon as I woke up but you were already in the kitchen, and they are delicious by the way."
I had woken up to the smell of baking pancakes and sweet syrup, something I recommend everyone should wake up to. Matt often surprised me when he makes me breakfast in bed, but he says I deserve it after all the times I cooked for him.
I cut off a large triangle of food and speared it on my fork before raising it to his mouth. He opened immediately and took my offering as he smiled sheepishly.
"You know, they are pretty decent," he said once swallowing.
"So why didn't you make yourself some?" I ventured while cutting some more for him.
"I...weighed out the ingredients wrong..."
I smiled and shook my head slightly. "You can't win them all, lover. Go and get a fork so we can share."
He frowned. "But I made them for you."
"Matt, by the hungry look in your eyes and how you're practically drooling at the sight of the pancakes, I know you want to, so go."
""But-"
"Go. Stop being such a gentleman and dig into our breakfast."
A small smile slipped on his face before he teleported to the kitchen.
Knew it wouldn't take much, who could resist pancakes? Especially ones that smelled and tasted as yummy as these.
I giggled as he appeared in front of me, fork raised in hand and looked like he was ready to attack the plate of food. Cutting the remaining pancakes in half, I pushed them further to him on the plate.
"Dig in Batman."
"Well, if you insist."
I grinned as we both finished off the remaining pancakes.
After the plate was completely empty I flopped back down on the bed, full and content, a smile on my lips. Matt placed the tray on the floor before joining me on the bed. He tucked on arm around my shoulders and I snuggled closer to him, my head resting in the crook of his neck. I felt him kiss my forehead as I sighed contentedly."Layla..."
"Yes?"
There was a brief pause. "Never mind."
I tilted my head up so I could look at his face. "What?"
He frowned. "Well...you know how I was thinking that...we could go to the Palace, where my parents are?"
