What Do We Do?

The two girls sat in silence staring at the arms of their classmate Satoshi Mochida. How did this happen? Why did this happen? Satoshi had used his own scrap during the reversal...didn't he? He should be here with them right now, but he wasn't. After a few moments of staring in silence, Naomi spoke up.

"What do we do?" She looked over at Ayumi who had just recovered from the shock.

"We clean up and we come to school tomorrow to try and explain what happened" She stood up and began moving the desk into place. Silently, Naomi joined her and within 30 minutes the classroom looked good as new with the exception of Satoshi's arms. They decided to bury them out behind the school, as a sort of grave for their friend. The next day they arrived at school with remorse they trudged into the classroom only to see a whole new TA at the front of the room. It was possible they had simply called in a sub for Ms. Yui's absence. They soon learned that wasn't the case at all. No one had a clue who they were talking about. All of their friends just didn't seem to exist at all. Ayumi couldn't handle it and she ran out of the room and to the bathroom. Naomi wasn't in much better shape than Ayumi, she didn't sleep at all that night, all she could do is stare at Seiko's text message over and over again.

"Class rep?" Naomi peered into the bathroom to see Ayumi at the mirror sobbing.

"This is all my fault if only I hadn't suggested that stupid charm then everyone would still be alive right now" Ayumi looked up at Naomi from the mirror.

"This isn't your fault, you didn't know this would happen, no one could have ever known something so horrific would happen" Naomi hugged Ayumi from behind. She didn't want to lose the only person she had left to confide in. The two sat in silence for awhile, a few days ago they would have never been this close. They were rivals for Satoshi's heart, but since he and all their other friends were dead all they had was each other. An unlikely bond formed between them the moment they got back. If it weren't for the fact that school was still in session they would have stood there all day just being with each other.

The two began to walk home together everyday after school, they were to afraid to be alone and they enjoyed each other's company.

"I'm glad we've become such good friends Naomi, you're a good person" Ayumi smiled looking over at Naomi.

"You're a good person too Ayumi, without you I don't think I would be able to handle all of this" Naomi gave a weak smile. The word friend never felt the same to her after Seiko's death. She didn't feel like Ayumi's friend, maybe something more than that was between them. Of course that was a silly thought, Ayumi likely had already moved on to some boy. Naomi was afraid to ask, but it seemed she didn't have to, Ayumi asked.

"So do you like anyone?" Naomi thought for a moment before giving a slight nod, she wasn't ready to reveal anything yet."I do to, although it's kind of an unlikely crush" Ayumi blushed slightly. Naomi wanted to know who this mystery crush was, but she wasn't going to put Ayumi on the spot like that. They arrived at Naomi's house, before going inside Naomi gave Ayumi a tight hug,

"See you tomorrow Ayumi" She muttered something inaudible under her breath before going inside and going up to her room...
