Reader's P.O.V.
I wake up, and walk to the living room. After I get all ready, daddy asks, "(Y/n), will you stay home and hang with daddy for a while?" I say, "Hai, daddy." He smiles and asks, "How about we go get you a pet?" I say, "That sounds nice." I walk with him to a shop for pets. It has dogs, cats, birds, fish, bugs, and other pets.
He asks, "Is there anything you like?" I look around. Then, I say, "I like this," pointing to a small white kitten with black ears. He looks at it and calls over the shopkeeper. He says, "She wants this one," pointing to the small cat. He nods and says, "Okay, be extra careful with her." My eyes sparkle as I hold the fluffy ball of fur and delight in my hands. I pet its head with my finger, and it purrs.
My nice daddy pays for the small bundle of joy. As we leave, I say, "A-ari-ga-to, daddy. Where are we going next?" He asks, "What time is it?" I tell him the time. He says, "You can go play with your friend now, but be back by noon." I say, "Yes, daddy!" I run to the park where we always play. I see Gaara swinging.
He seems more upset than usual. I run up to him and ask, "Gaara, what's wrong?" He says, "Go away, (Y/n). I want to be left alone." I say, "But I-" He says, "I said to go away!" My eyes fill with tears as I run away from him. He isn't usually that mean. I wanted to know what was wrong and to show him my new little kitty. Something was different about him today.
He isn't usually this mean to me when I see him. I glance back at him. He has a new tattoo on his forehead on the left. It says love. Love is one of the words I have problems saying sometimes. Why does he have a new tattoo? I walk around the town, talking to myself. I occasionally trip people by pulling on their shadow.
Usually, if I play with Gaara, it would cheer me up right away. It's different though. He doesn't seem to care abut me. He couldn't look me in the eyes when he got mad at me. He must be in some pain. He usually doesn't avoid eye contact with me, unless he's trying to hide something. He knows I can look into someone's eyes and tell them about their emotions.
Most of the time, he would have his eyes full of pain, but it has lessened during the time I was with him. It never faded away from him though. It stayed with him. Even in the slightest, I couldn't erase the pain in his eyes. They are sad and in pain. Now, it's time to go back home where daddy is. I want to do something for Gaara to make him proud of me.
I get to my house and daddy says, "Let me explain something to you, dear." I ask, "What is it?" He says, "You ae goingt to be moving to a new village, so stay safe. I can't go with you. I'm sorry. If it were up to me, I'd say you can stay here, but it isn't my choice to determine that. I wanted you to spend the rest of your time here being happy, so that is why I got you that kitten and let you play."
I say, "Wha...?!" I look at my kitty. I ask, "Did you know about this my little furball fr-frie-ien-d?" It mews. I say, "Oh, good. You weren't a traitor to me." It mews again. I say, "S-s-sor-sorry, my little kitty. I'll do something for you by tomorrow, or I'll try to." Daddy walks me to Sunagakure's village gates. Then, he says, "A group of ninja will be escorting you to the new village. Okay?" I nod as he leaves me.
After a few minutes, some ninja causiously approach me. I sigh. This is really getting old. I say, "Gosh. You guys are so slow! Will you go any faster? You need to be brave. I'm really, really, really not feeling like killing right now, so quit your stupidity and go faster." The 3 men and 1 girl approach me.
While they are bringing me to wherever, the girl beside me asks, "How is this child dangerous?" I say, "Keep saying stuff like that and you'll find out." The guy on the other side of me says, "She is known for killing people with shadows throughout the village. That's why we're escorting her to Konohagakure. So she can be kept on watch there, because they have stronger forces." I say, "I don't think that's necessarily true."
I kick the guy in front of me in the leg. He say, "Ow. That hurt." I say, "Whatever. I thought you were ninja not babies. You're stupid and weak when you're supposed to be smart and strong. If you have any comebacks, I could kill you in a split second, give or take a few." The guy behind me asks, "How would you kill someone in less than a second?" I say, "Very easily. I just incase the in their own shadow and squash them like a bug."
The guy in front of me says, "You are a very weird child. You parents would agree too." I touch my necklace that is around my necklace. It's really pretty is you're asking me. I keep it to remind myself of my parents. They're not with me, but in a way, they are with me. I sigh and keep walking in the middle of these 4.
I ask, "How much long till we get there?" The girl says, "We just got here." I say, "Oh. What now?" They bring me to the Kage's office. The front guy knocks and says, "Delivery from Sunagakure." He says, "Come on in." I walk in. The Kage asks, "What is it?" The front guy moves out of the way, so I can see him. He's some old guy.
I sigh and yell, "I'm going to freaking kill you if you don't let go of my freaking arms!" The Kage guy asks, "Well, why have you brought a yong child to me?" The guy that was in front of me hands him a scroll and says, "This will explain the situation." The 2 at the sides let go of my arms.
I get my kitty of my head, and I say, "I haven't even thought of a name for my little kitty. How about Ying?" The kitten mews in agreement. I say, "Well, Ying, you are a cute little kitty that I will forever be with." The Kage says, "You will be kept on watch at all times." I say, "How rude of you." He says, "It's to make sure the village is kept safe. Be grateful that we aren't executing you immediatly." I say, "Okay, Mr. Old Guy."
He says, "I expect an apology for your rudeness." I say, "But I am under your expectations." He says, "Actually, you are." I say, "Anyways, I'm not too good with apologies." The girl says, "Just say sorry." I say, "Yeah, I rather not. But okay. S-so-sorry, Mister." I think, 'Geez. just totally embarrased myself just now.' He nods and calls smeone in and they find me a place to stay. This is how my life in Konoha begins I guess.
