Mad didn’t like the thought of going back, let alone letting Pewds help him. His body was weaker than normal, however, and needed tending to. Allie felt as if the voices in her head we screaming at her to do it all again, finish him. She wrapped Mad’s right arm around her small shoulders carefully, trying not to make him feel even more pain. She looked up at him waiting for a response before she wrapped her other arm around his waist and started walking. Mad stayed silent, not exactly needing support at all but not wanting to upset Allie either. As Mad and Allie walked, only a few winces from Mad to break the silence, the sun slowly started to disappear.

Mad stayed silent, watching as Alesia zoned out, different colored eyes having a distant look to them. She stepped out into the street. Before she could set her other foot on the dark pavement, Mad pulled her back onto the sidewalk, watching a car speed by.

They didn’t stop or slow down.

She looked up at him, lifting her face from his chest. He had his arms wrapped around her protectively. She turned her head just in time to see the vehicle speed around a corner and looked back at him confused. He stayed silent and pulled away from her, crossing the street, keeping a hand on his wound. He started to feel light-headed. She blinked and shook her head slightly, quickly walking after him.

“I’m so so sorry! I don’t know what I was thinking.”

“It’s fine. Not your fault.” His voice was starting to sound more human, less harsh as well.

“How is it not my fault? I fucking stabbed you!” She frowned more, seeing the street lights come on.

He shrugged. “Not like it hasn’t happened before.”

“You’ve been stabbed before?” She looked up at him but quickly looked back forward as she noticed he was looking at her too. She gripped his wrist more and tried to keep him balanced as he stumbled.

Nodding, he stepped closer to her, staying silent. She tried her hardest to keep her hand away from his wound, silently screaming at herself for being so dumb. Blinking, he pulled her into another alleyway and pushed her against the wall, quickly kissing her. She froze, not knowing what to do or what he was doing. He kept kissing her, hoping for some kind of reaction. She quickly kissed back, realizing this wasn’t a joke and he wasn’t going to kill her or anything.

He was surprised, not expecting her to kiss back and pulled away. “I-I’m sorry…” He turned away.

She just blinked. “Don’t be.” She mumbled and shifted slightly closer to him.

He started to walk again, ignoring that she had tried to get closer. She frowned more and walked after him. “Wait up!” She sorta whispered and went to take his wrist around her shoulders again. He pulled his arm away slightly, keeping his hand down at his side and keeping a hold of her hand. She stayed silent as she laced their fingers together. Mad didn’t seem neither comfortable with this nor uncomfortable. He kept a neutral expression. Allie just stayed silent, sometimes glancing at Mad with no emotion.

He stopped for a second and blinked, regaining his balance. She looked up at him confused. “Are you okay? W-We’re almost there.” She mumbled.

“I’m fine,” He snapped. It took everything she had not to flinch. He always had a harsh tone.

She stayed silent for a while, kept walking down the street towards the house. The street was unfamiliar to Mad. He didn’t know why, but knew he should know. She stayed silent, even her footfalls could not be heard. Mad never took any notice to it, too focused on walking straight. He didn’t want her, or anyone else for that matter, to worry about him, but Allie had already began worrying; she always worried.
