Akemi sat on a stool, an old-looking table with her phone in front of her. She was on a stage, and she knew it was true because of the blinding spotlights all aimed at her. Looking around, she saw two monitors on the side of her, both of which displayed her smiling face.

It was quiet. Oddly so. But not unnerving. Strange, probably. Just unusual for a punishment of this kind. Especially since she was granted Internet access. She thought she was safe. In the clear. She could make a post explaining her absence and tell everyone that she needed help. Yes, that's it. That's what she would do.

The moment she picked up her phone, however, it all changed. Monokuma was the one who took center stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" he addressed the non-existent audience, "We're going to take a quick little poll! Hope you've all got your devices handy~!"

His cute giggle turned into maniacal cackling as Akemi started to tap away furiously on her phone's keyboard. Her fingers punched the letters as she desperately wanted to tell people that she was trapped, and, without reading what she had written, posted the status.

She let out a sigh of relief. This was it, right? She would get out of there? Barely holding back a small satisfied grin, she turned to look at the monitor.

Her relief quickly turned to horror as she read the words of her status, which was displayed on the large screens for anyone to see.

"My followers need to grow up. Like, seriously?? Following me because you can't get this famous yourselves?? Get a life!"

She didn't write that. She was positive she didn't. It was her phone. Monokuma must have done something to her phone. She tried to tell the world that it wasn't her. She tried again and again. But all that went up were more and more negative posts. Hate-fueled comments started to pour in one after the other.

"Um??? I followed you because I like you??? Wtf???"

"Is this really how you treat your fans? Or did a hacker get to your account?"

"I've seen more charisma in a trashcan, tbh"

Her eyes started to well up with tears. It wasn't her. She hoped that everyone would know that. But, apperently, that wasn't the case. She watched in vain as the dislikes started to come in, and looked up. The sound of metal chains scratching against metal filled the air and her eyes widened in shock.

She only had a second to register the large stone block that came crashing down on her at the speed of the rapidly increasing dislikes.

Monokuma picked up the abandoned phone on the table and happily hit his plush paws against the keyboard of the phone. He read what he had written, and read it again. He read it until he knew that's what he meant to say and posted the new status.
