"...my name is Dazai osamu as you already know, you were sent to capture me and Atshushi-kun, weren't you?"
" How do you know so much?" I demanded. "No one has been able to find out my true identity and my mission."
"I have my ways~" he replied, using the 'I aim to annoy' tone yet again.
"Stop kidding around, Osamu. How?"
" Ever heard of the Mafia's demonic prodigy?"
I raised my eyebrows,"Yeah....?"
He smirked. "You're quite slow at catching on, aren't you?" He sighed. "You wouldn't have lasted a day under me."
"What do you-" A look of sudden realisation swept across my facial expression."Oh...but, But-"
"But what? I would never lie about these kinds of things."
Slowly, I backed away. Although I may have become one of the most skilled assassins under Mori-san's command, I have still heard enough horror stories about him to send chills down my bones. I would never have dreamt of fighting him.
" I-I never signed up for this," I stuttered. Unsure of what to do.
Dazai smiled. "Don't worry, the offer for the double suicide is still up!"
Wow.
He just had to say that. Stuck between the desire to face-palm and run, I shook my head.
Seriously, this guy.
