I walked up the hallway.
Around the school rumors were going around of a new student but nobody did see him yet.

But this rumors were annoying.

It was said, that teachers were praising him for his skills, but actually I am the skilled student!

"Mark, again pissed?", a voice appeared beside me.

"Jeno, shut up-"

"Is he having his period again?"
"You mean still instead of again?"

"If you two don't shut up right now-" "Then what?", Jaemin cut me off.
"Jaeminnie, let him be, he's jealous~", the blonde boy piped. "I'm everything but jealous", I replied quickly while throwing the door of my classroom open. "And I don't wanna hear anything about this new student."

Chuckling Jeno sat down at his place right behind mine and pulled Jaemin onto his lap wrapping his arms securely around the boy.

"You two are incredible, coming out in front of the whole school and showing it like that.", I sighed and sat on the table, my feet on the chair

"Well, we aren't afraid of it like you to come out~", the older one of them both said, which made Jaemin look at him warning. "Jeno-yah, don't be so rude"

"At least everyone thought of you both that you are gay!", I protested like a child and looked around, checking that nobody was listening. "Everyone thinks of me that I'm perfectly straight!", I whispered in a slightly aggressive tone.

"Come on, Mark, only one more school lesson, then we have free, plus today's your favorite subject on!"
"Yeah, we'll be having vocals and rap lessons! And I could bet you'll get the best grade at songwriting!"

It's annoying. How they try to tell me, everything is alright, when they can't relate.

The room got filled by more and more students, as I talked to the pair in front of me. They really brought the courage for some students to come out, but I was definitely not one of them.

After some more minutes the teacher entered the room and as expected with a big red folder. And everyone immediately knew, that she read the lyrics we wrote. As everyone sat, where they were supposed to sit we stood up to greet the teacher and we were allowed to sit down again.

The light yellow room was filled with sunlight, the cherry blossoms were already in bloom and soon the summer would break in.

I sighed as I looked out the window. How could everything seem so peaceful? It's unfair.

Mrs Lee suddenly rose her voice. "Well, as you can see, I've looked through your lyrics and I'm positively surprised. None of them were so bad, you could just throw them into the trash.", she put the stack of papers on her arm and walked between the tables, giving everyone their self written song parts back. Surprised and disappointed faces were under them but when she lays the piece of paper on my desk, she stopped a second and smiled. "As I thought Mark's rap would be very precise, it perfectly fitted the melody that was given.", the class clapped out of politeness and I looked at the paper and at my grade - the best I could get - but somehow I didn't care...

The thought that was filling my head was the question, if the new student would be able to write so good...

I thanked our teacher friendly with a faked smile and as soon as she walked away it faded and I looked out again while resting my head on my hand. Another sigh left my mouth.

What if he was really better than me..?
Gosh, I didn't like that thought.
Anyway, what personality would he have?
Would he sing or rap? Or is his specialty dance?
Or is he more of the good-looking type?
Or everything together?!

But the loud voice of the women brought me back to reality. "Mark, would you be so nice and rap your own text for the others?"

My eyes locked with the ones of her. "Uh, yes, sure", I quickly replied not sounding really motivated. I took the paper into my hands and I heard the melody which all rappers were given and I started rapping in front of the eyes of my class mates.

"Can't see anything without ya
Can't go anywhere without ya
You make me lose my mind
Can't escape you without a fight
The spotlight around you is too bright
You won't let me go, am I right?", I started and got stopped. "That's already enough, thank you"

I nodded and smiled, knowing from the face expressions and mood that everyone already liked those few lines.

"So please, explain to the class how you builded up your rap.", once again I nodded as a reply and started explaining it as good as possible and we talked about how to write a rap finishing only a few minutes before the lesson ended. "We'll be talking about the vocal parts next week, you are allowed to go"

Quickly we thanked for the lesson and packed our things.
"And Mark? What did I say? The best rap in the class", Jaemin told me and smiled.
"Yeah yeah, but let's get something to drink, I'm thirsty."
"Alright, it's my treat today", Jeno threw in raising his wallet laughing. "Well, my parents' treat to be honest", he added laughing, causing Jaemin to box him. "Haven't I told you not to take your parents money again?!" "Calm down, they gave it to me!", surrendering the boy held up his hands.
I chuckled a bit at the two boys throwing my bag over my shoulder. "Let's go"

The two boys nodded and quickly took their bags as we walked outside. Everyone was already gone and a teacher told us to leave and use our break. Well, that's exactly what we were planning to do. So we walked downstairs the building and bought our drinks at the vending machine. A coffee americano for Jeno from the hot-drink-machine, a can with chocolate milk for Jaemin and a can with coke for me. Together we walked to the cafeteria of the school and sat down together. I put out my things and noticed, that I forgot my notebook in the classroom.
"I'll be getting my notebook, I forgot it in the classroom", I informed the others quickly and walked out the cafeteria and upstairs once again. But as I entered the hallway I stopped for a second.

Somebody was singing? At this time?

I slowly walked up the hallway following the male voice. I passed my classroom and a few room later I got to my new destination and a small smile appeared as I listened to the voice that edged through the door.
I didn't even notice it.
Not a bit.

I walked up to the room's door and tried to look though the small window in it but I couldn't see the boy singing clearly. Plus around were some teachers. I guess he was practicing on his own instead of in the class.

The only thing I could see was the black jacket he was wearing. I gulped and hid as a teacher seemed to notice me.

If that's the new student, I got a problem...

I sighed and and leaned against the wall.

A big big problem...
