Elizabeth's POV
400 Years Later
It's been four god years since I have seen my cousins, and found out that I am going to get married to one of them. My dear, sweet Aphrodite is being forced into marriage, I guess that's another thing we will have in common. As my nursemaid laces my corset, I think to myself how my future husband will look. Will he be tall? He will surely be handsome. I wonder if he waited for me? Does he have a girl? What's his favorite color? Probably red.
"Miss Beth? Are you there?" My nursemaid, Maje, asks me waving a hand over my face.
"Oh, sorry, I just spaced out for a minute,"
"That's fine Miss, I was just telling you it's time for your hoops," She said grabbing my hoop skirt. It was very large and took a lot of time to put it on comfortably. Once they were on properly she put my pink dress over my head and tied it in the back. The dress was a few inches above the ground and was the prettiest thing I own. I paired it with a pair of earring Hades sent me for my last birthday and walked to the carriage.
The ride to Greece was quiet, and I think my dad was thinking about what he doesn't want to happen at the reception. The ride was only thirty minutes, and when we got there we were greeted by my Aunt Herma. She kissed my cheeks and walked me to my seat. When I got there, there was a young man who was looking around.
"Who are you looking for?" I asked him.
"My Fiance, she's supposed to be here, and I haven't seen her in awhile," he replied looking around.
"Oh, I know the feeling. My father doesn't approve of my Fiance even if he chose him out. I haven't seen him in four hundred years," I said looking at my gloved fingers.
"Weird, that's the last time I saw mine as well. She is gorgeous. Long golden hair, and the biggest blue eyes. She was younger the last time I saw her, so I can only imagine what she looks like now," He said with a dreamy look in his silver eyes. His eyes look so familiar.
"Does your fiance go by the name Beth?" I asked him. He nodded his head and I leaped into his lap and kissed his face.
"What are you doing?" Hades asks pushing me off his lap.
"Kissing my beloved's face," I responded smartly.
"ELIZA!" He yelled and pulled me back into his loving embrace, "You have no idea how much I have missed you."
We talked until the ceremony started and then we held hands as my sweet cousin trudged down the aisle. The ceremony was a bore, and the only good thing that came out of it was holding Hades' hand. As we walked to the carriage to go the the reception, he pulled me into a different room.
"I have missed you so much," Hades stated with so much love in his voice.
"Me too. I love getting the letters from you, but I love being here with you." As I said that he pulled me even closer to him, and tilted my head up. He looked straight into my eyes and kissed me. It was pure bliss. It was a gentle kiss, not the ones where they try to get something out of you, but the ones where they just want you to know that they love you. We pulled apart and held hands again as we walked out of the room. As we walked out of the room, we ran into some of the boys that had been rude to me when I was younger.
"Eliza, I want you to meet Zeus, Ares, Apollo, and you already know Poseidon," Hades said pointing to each of the guys. I didn't know what to think about these men, so I just nodded and did an awkward curtsey. They had bullied me in the past, but these were Hades friends and brothers, so I had to be nice to them. We walked away and got into the carriage and were on our way to the reception.
