*1 Month later*

Today was the first day the girls were heading to nursery, they had visited a few times before but we only stayed for a few hours at a time. Today was the first time they would be there for the whole day and without me. I was a nervous wreck and originally thought maybe it was too soon but the therapist insisted that it would be good for all us. So here we are sitting in my town car driving towards 'KinderWorld' putting on a brave face for the girls,
"Are you ready? We're going to see Ms. Laura again and I bet if you're really good she'll give you a piece of chocolate." Bribery wasn't the best way but it worked so who am I to dismiss it. Never being one to believe that parents must dress their twins constantly in identical clothing, I settled for having them in long coloured tights and a simple knitted dress. Similar but not identical. The one I could not resist was the matching low pigtails tied with ribbons, lets just say playing dress up was something we all enjoyed.

"Excuse me Ms Romanos, I think we might have a problem."

"What's wrong?" I asked my driver but the my answer came at me in a flash. In fact, a sea of flashes. There was a mob of photographers standing outside the nursery. "This isn't happening. No, no. It wasn't suppose to be like this."

"Would you like to turn around?"

Considering for a brief moment, would that really be the best course of action to take. This was meant to be out in the open eventually, just not like this. To be honest I was lucky I managed to keep it under wraps for so long.

"It's fine, go ahead and pull in front, if they don't move feel free to knock them over." The driver chuckled but I on the other hand was being quite serious. As he stopped in front of the building, the reporters started shouting their questions a mile a minute. "Is this why you left Mr. Longmire, your secret family? What are their names? Where were you hiding them this whole time." the most popular one of all "Who's the Father?" With much effort and with the help of the driver and a few staff members we managed to squeeze through the crowd.

"Ugh! I'm so fucking annoyed."

"Ms. Romanos I must ask you to keep it down." Mrs Gates the head of the Nursery reprimanded me, since obviously forgetting that I was standing in a building filled with children.

"My apologies, moment of weakness. How did this happen?"

"I do not know but I assure you, we will find out. For if it was one of my staff there will be serious repercussions. KinderWorld prides itself on protecting the privacy of our clientele. Nothing like this has ever happened before."

"That's ok Mrs Gates. There's nothing we can do about it now. We must press on." If there one thing my Dad taught me was to never dwell on the past and its problems but find solutions and move forward, time waits for no one. Emily and Amy were still holding onto my hands, "Okay you two, I need to leave for a bit but I promise I will be here to pick you up." Their faces weren't particular one of joy but this was for the best. Amy began to cry the moment Ms Laura took her from me, Emmy hesitated to let go of my hand but remained silent. They had started talking more but in public they would be a little more reserved.

Leaving them behind was one of the hardest things I have ever endured. Over the past month we became so close, as a real family already. Of course there were days of me pulling the hairs from my head out of frustration. Breakfast, lunch and dinner time was always task, it always seemed that less food actually reached into their mouths. Their bathroom flooded each time we had bath time and lets not forget the lack of sleep on my part. Though, in spite of all that it has been the best month of my life. Everyday was unpredictable and for every five things they did to drive me up the wall, they did one thing so cute, so adorable that just makes it all worthwhile. But most encouraging of all I was keeping my promise to Michelle, her girls were safe and happy.
