Credits to artist :) RenMasa is up

Masato sighed in an agitated way as he saw Jinguji sidle up to Nanami again, playing with her hair and smelling it briefly.  The girl, startled, immediately blushed and exclaimed something at the Starish member.

"There he goes again..." Masato muttered, closing the window.  Ranmaru was out, said he was going to practice with Quartet Night.  For now, he has the whole room to himself.  And yet...he couldn't bring himself to stay.  Emotions buried since meeting the Jinguji boy started bubbling up every time Masato saw him flirting with Nanami, or any girl for that matter.  What he needed right now was a piano.  That would surely work.

As he walked the halls, Masato wondered exactly when his feelings had started appearing for the orangette.  No matter.  He shouldn't even be feeling this in the first place.  Wait!  He doesn't like Jinguji--no, he likes Nanami.  Yes, Nanami Haruka, Starish's female composer.  Now that he thought about it, she is also the only actual female in the whole Master Course as of now.  Tsukimiya-sensei doesn't count.  That's what Masato went with as he sat down at the piano's bench: he likes Nanami Haruka, and not Jinguji Ren.

Ren chuckled as he sent the composer on her way, not knowing that every time he does this, it wounds a heart very near to him.  If anything, he flirted with Nanami for kicks; there was only one person that held his focus as of late.

Stepping to an imaginary beat, our flirtatious idol walked around the Master Course garden (not even sure if there is one), stopping every now and then to glance at something besides the flowers.  Butterflies.  Birds.  Dragonflies.  Anything to keep his mind occupied for now.  Ren didn't want to think of him, because every time he did, he thought of confessing.  But no, it would mess up anything they have between them.  He shook his head, ridding himself of the reoccurring thought: Jinguji Ren, you will not tell your roommate and fellow band-mate your feelings.

He kept telling himself this, then was startled out of his reverie as he heard the sound of a piano being played.  Whether he liked it or not, Ren was able to tell who was playing it.  There was only one boy who played with all of his soul poured into each note and with that much care.

Masato was lost.  Lost in the bliss of notes, rests, chords and melodies.  Playing the piano always did this for him.  It took away sorrow, replaced it with joy.  Every chord took his misery, turned it into something not unlike happiness.  Pure, untainted enjoyment.  Masato would do it hours on end if someone let him.

Fingers flew across the pristine, white keys, paying no attention to anything else.  At the same time, Masato wasn't really paying attention.  If you actually pay mind to what you're doing while playing an instrument, all your focus instantly wavers, and the whole piece goes to hell.  But if you just let yourself go on autopilot, Masato found that the most beautiful things would happen.  Sadly, this isn't always the case, for the music that came out this time was anything but.

Ren silently peeked inside the door to the music room, taking care to not let it creak, lest it disturb the pianist within.  Hijirikawa sat on the bench, hands flying so fast that it was nearly a blur.  Chaos ensued above the instrument, and the sounds that came out matched.  Sadness for sorrow.  Sin for revenge.  Madness...for insanity.  So many emotions hit Ren in the face all at once.

'What could've happened that made him need to play like this?  So ruthless sounding; it's ripping through my heart like knives...'  he thought, gripping the handle to the door even tighter.  Alas, even the smallest noise can disturb one in a daze at an instrument.  That was exactly what happened.  Startled navy blue met soft baby blue as Hijirikawa turned around in surprise.

"What are you doing here?"
