 Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Jenny! You're going to be late!" I shoot up out of bed and run straight to my closet to grab an outfit and try to get to school on time. I find this cute dress with polka dots on top and a plain black bottom and grab my brown belt and slip some matching booties on. With the help of some mascara I don't look like death, not much anyways. I grab my purse and throw my books in it and dance bag before running downstairs to find my brother smirking.

"You were just going to let me oversleep? You're an ass, Alex." We head out to his car as he just laughs, probably at my hair.

"Not my fault you set a million alarms and never wake up to any of them. You know the walls are like paper and I get woken up at 5 am everyday." He pops the trunk for me to throw my dance bag in then unlocks the doors.

"Well I'm sorry I'm trying to finish this stupid portfolio so I can get a manager. I don't even need one. My designs suck." I open my compact mirror and brush my hair and braid it. "Can you turn the heat on high? And close the vents over there." He rolls his eyes as I scoot closer to my vent and put my hair by it.

"What are you doing?" he looks at me strange but does what I asked. "Your hair's not even wet."

"Well I don't have time to do my hair so I have to try and find a way to get it done in the twenty minute drive to school." I look at him and he's rolling his eyes. "Don't judge me. You just have to run your hand through your hair and you're done."

"By the way, mom told me that Matt and Hailey are coming to stay with us so she can help them with planning the wedding." Great. My oldest brother and the gold digger. "She also said you have to be on your best behavior."

"At least I'm not dating someone who's trying to get my family's money. Seriously. You guys ridicule me for every guy I've ever talked to but never ask my opinion when you want to date someone. Not fair." I turn the heat off and un braid my hair to find nice waves. "Ooh, I like it."

"I like your opinion about girls. But you're my twin so of course I'm going to want your opinion. But you know Matt is the most stubborn of all of us, besides you," he laughs. "But even though she does seem sketchy, we can't do anything unless she actually does something."

"Yeah I know." I grumble and grab my purse, making sure I have my english essay. "God, I can't believe you got out of having Mr. Ives. It's not fair. He's the worst. We already have a first draft of an essay due today and it's only the second week in school."

"That's your fault for taking advanced classes. You're always trying to be an overachiever." He shakes his head as we pull into Carrie's driveway and he honks. "If she's not out in two minutes we're leaving. You took too long this morning and we'll be late."

"You won't leave my best friend because if you do, you know I'll remind her of it every chance I get and we all know she holds grudges." he nods his head.

"True," a car door opens and Carrie jumps in throwing her stuff next to her on the seat.

"Mornin. Hey babe, can I copy your math homework?" He nods but rolls his eyes. "Thank God. I took a nap after school and didn't wake up until this morning."

"Wow. so you didn't get anything done?" I put my essay back in my bag and turn around to face her. "What are you going to do about history?" She looks at me with bug eyes.

"What did we have to do for that? I didn't even know we had work in there."

I laugh. "We don't, I just wanted to scare you a bit."
