Chapter 5 My First Full Moon

Emily's POV

Today is the full moon and the 5th day of me being a Marauder.

I'm chilling in the Marauder's Dorm with the boys because Remus and I feel horrible. James is still trying to get Remus to agree with the idea of them becoming animagi. "Guys lunch," I said James, Sirius, and Peter jumped to their feet then Remus and I got up at a normal pace. When we got to the Great Hall I went to go sit next to Lily and the boys sat in their normal place, in the middle of the table. After I sat down an owl dropped a letter addressed to Lily.

Lily's POV

I picked up my letter and opened it, it was from Mum and it read:

'Dear Lily,

What happened to your friend is very sad, of course, she can stay with us. I just have a few questions first: What is their name? Do they have any medical conditions? Do they have any allergies? I am quite sure Petunia will love them just as she loves you.

Love you lots see you soon,

Mum'

I turned to Emily who was sitting next to me "Em mum says you can stay with us, but I'll need your help answering the next letter". "Thank you so much. But I need to go and speak to Professor Dumbledore now, see ya later".

Emily's POV

Time Skip to Dumbledore's Office

I said the password to the griffin door and it revealed the staircase. I knocked on the office door and heard "come in Miss Green" from inside. I walked into Dumbledore's office. "Hello Miss Green, I wanted to talk to you about tonight and your Howler. Would you like to sit down?" I sat down and Dumbledore started talking. Telling me about the entrance to the Shrieking Shack through the Whomping Willow. He asked me if I had somewhere to stay he also told me that if I needed anything I could go to him.

Time Skip. 2 Hours 'Till Sunset

There is 2 hours before sunset. I have to go with Remus to meet Madam Pomfrey then she will guide us into the Shrieking Shack for the night. We each have a set of clothes with us for the morning. When we get to the Hospital Wing Madam Pomfrey checks us for injuries then we make our way out to the Whomping Willow. Madam Pomfrey gets a large stick and pokes a knot in the tree with it and the whole tree freezes. We crawl into the opening in the base of the tree and walk through a tunnel, Madam Pomfrey reaches up and undoes a trapdoor and we climb up into the Shack, Remus and I walk into separate rooms. I do as I'm told I strip and put my clothes in the chest of draws in the room and wait for the moonlight to hit me.

After waiting a while I see the moonlight and feel it hit me then all my bones start moving and rearranging themselves I let out a scream of pain and hear Remus do the same.

Third Person POV

After a few more screams of pain, there were no longer 2 people in the Shrieking Shack there were only 2 wolves one gray and the other brown. The wolves were desperately trying to get to each other. Eventually, the larger gray wolf broke through the door and not soon after the smaller brown wolf broke through also. The smaller wolf walked over and started sniffing the larger one, once she had finished she gently bumped the larger wolf and started jumping around indicating she wanted to play. The 2 wolves played around until they got tired. Once the two wolves were tired the curled up together on the floor.

Time Skip to Morning

Remus' POV

When I woke up all I saw was a tangle of limbs on the floor showing that our wolves have fallen sleep curled up together. I stood up carefully not to wake up Emily and walked to my room and changed into the clothes I brought with me. When I had finished a repaired the holes in both doors that our wolves had made. I saw Emily was waking so I quickly walked into my room and packed up my clothes after I went to wait in the living room for Madam Pomfrey. After a little bit Emily came and joined me, then Madam Pomfrey walked in. She looked at us and saw that we were fine and let us go back into the castle.
