Chapter 12

Tris's POV

I got up and noticed Tobias was gone. I got out of bed and went to get dressed. Black as usual. I headed to the pit but he wasn't there. I was confused and worried. I ran to Christina's room and she said she hadn't seen him.

I was running everywhere trying to find him but I couldn't. The last place I checked was the hospital and there laid Tobias hooked up to a machine. I felt tears run down my face and went looking for the nurse.

"What's wrong with him?" My eyes filled with tears look straight into the nurses eyes and her smile faded.

"We don't really know, someone found him passed out in the pit earlier this morning." I couldn't help myself I cried hard and loud the nurse hugged me and went to get the doctor and than went to see Tobias.

I followed her and the doctor to find that Tobias drunk something. Someone one had tried to poison him. I gasped tears running down my face. I ran out of the hospital and out into the city. I jumped on the train and sat there all alone tear stains on my cheeks and only the sound of the wheels on the track.

I jumped off and the pier. Where we had climbed the ferris wheel where I had spotted the flag and won. The memories made a smile appear on my face which faded when I thought about him laying on the hospital bed and I ran away. I thought I could run aways from my problems but the more I ran the more tears I shed. Last night he asked me to marry him and now he is laying in a hospital bed passed out.

I knew he was strong and that he would make it thought this but was I ran all I could see was him laying there and the nurse saying he is gone. I cried so hard I fell to the ground and crawled up into a ball not wanting to think about what was happing. Why now? I asked myself but I didn't know the answer. I played with the ring on my finger and closed my eyes and prayed he will be fine. That was all I could do. I walked back to the tracks and waited for the train. I jumped on and rode it back to dauntless headquarters.

I went to the room we shared and looked around. Thinking who would do this. I needed to talk to Tori so I went to see her at the tattoo place. She could tell I have been crying and hugged me.

"What's wrong Tris?"

"Tobias, he is at the hospital someone tried to poison him." Tears left my eyes and I swear I saw one leave Tori's eyes.

"He is strong Tris. He will make it." She smiled. I smiled small in returned.

"Thanks Tori." I hugged her and left.

I walked back to where Tobias was. He was still laying there lifeless his eyes not longer sparkled and his smile was no longer a smile. I held his hand kissing it softly.

"Tobias I know you can't hear me but I love you and I know you can make it through his. I will be waiting here for you until you wake up. I love you so so so much." I whispered and kissed his forehead like he had always did to me. A small smile appeared on my face and tears slowly fell but this time I let them and as I played with the ring he had given me a single tear landed on the finger with the ring.

Hey guys sorry I haven't updates lately I have been busy with drivers ed and gadets(my school's dance team)

Sorry it's short I have to bake and practice today because tomorrow I preform and have a bake sale.
