Rain is where they find comfort. Rain is where they find peace. Rain is considered a friend, when others consider it an enemy.

Rain rain go away

Come again another day

Little children want to play.

Rain rain go away,

The embrace of rain was warm, despite the cold weather. The cries of rain were soft, yet when the thunder comes it becomes a bit loud, but it's okay. It's actually better.

Rain is better because they could never distinguish what was a teardrop or a raindrop. They could never distinguish if they were wet because of the rain and they didn't bring an umbrella, or because they were crying so hard and they didn't bring tissues. What was the point of tissues anyway? It would still become wet. Everything would become wet.

But storms were the best. They were loud. They wouldn't be able to hear the violent beating of their hearts. They wouldn't be able to notice the thoughts that threatened to be expressed in words. They wouldn't be able to notice the tears pooling, falling.

There are different times when rain would happen. It could happen during the day, and when a drop comes in contact with sunlight it could form a rainbow. It could happen during the night, when the clouds were dark and when the lights were out. It's better in the night. There would be no people because they're all asleep. They would be on their own.

When rain happens in the night after a tiring day they could clear their heads, their hearts, maybe their bodies. And when morning comes, when the sun greets their tired and sunken faces, they find their heads, their hearts empty. And then the cycle would continue.
