"Okay, get away from me you git" Delilah hissed at Jay, She tried to open their flat door, channeling all her annoyed feeling to the poor lock, having a tough time as Jay impatiently stood beside her

"Who would even know that she's a bit sensitive?" Jay frustrated,  pushed her hand away and easily unlocked it, he pushed it open and gave her a wry smile, she rolled her eyes and barged in the flat as he followed behind her

"Who the hell would even say 'is it me or you've got bigger' to an anorexic gal?" She retorted, Jay flails his hand, being just as furious as dear Delilah,

"I didn't mean it to be a width wise kind of big, I was referring about her being taller!" He defended himself, Delilah slaps him at his shoulders

"Well you should've told her that she was taller!" She exclaimed, then grumbles "not bigger, for fucksakes McGuiness, she cried for half an hour you fucker" She stormed in the bathroom, and slammed the door close, as Jay changed into his sweatpants and plain white T shirt. "I was the one trying to calm her down, do you know how hard to calm down that girl? it was embarrassing" She shouted loud enough for Jay to hear at the other side of the door, Jay gathered his pillows and grabbed the extra duvet, He knows where this will go, He'll be forced to sleep on the sofa once again.

"Well, you should've left her crying then if it's SUCH a bother to you" He shouted back, She gasped, "That's just plain mean to leave her like that when she's crying" She answered back, she quickly changed to her nightgown and Jay entered the bathroom, She grabbed the towel and threw it at him

"You're being childish you know, being angry at this small thing" He complained

"My brother hated you for saying that, how can that be a small thing?" She reminded him that his brother in law once again hates him, now has an additional reason to hate him more! Jay accidentally insulted his own sensitive wife.

"Honestly, I don't care if your brother hates me, he's the crud" He blurted, he covers his mouth a millisecond to late as he saw the growing rage from the getting enrage Delilah, regretting not  to think before speaking, he received a harsh slap from her. Being offended by his statement, she stomped away "Don't even dare talking about my brother in that way"

Jay followed her to the bedroom, It was enough that she was irritated at him for ruining dinner for that meant to be compliment that was taken the wrong way, she is now raged for him calling her own beloved brother a crud. It was foolish of him to make her get angry, the last thing he wants to know was his dear Lilah hates him at the moment, I mean, who wouldn't?

Lilah went in the room and slammed the door behind her, slamming the door right on Jay's face, he quickly reached for the doorknob, frowned as he heard Lilah locking it, he turned it a bit to confirm what he heard and he was right, it was too late, she already locked it. He knocked at the door, begging her to open it

"Look babe, I'm so sorry for saying that" He pleaded. Lilah sat right beside the cabinet staring at the door, thinking whether to let Jay in or not, instead she rolled her eyes, as she heard him calling her 'babe', she shuffled to the door, and knelt in front of it

"Don't fucking call me a piglet McGuiness " She complained, He chuckled, of course she would say that, that's so Delilah, he thought.  "and besides, how dare you call him a crud, what did he ever do to you?" She asked. Jay rolled his eyes, if only she knew what happened between the in laws, it's like nature for inlaws to hate each other, her brother had a reason to hate him, he took away his baby Delilah away from their home. Although, was it his fault that his little sister was darn charming and made him fall for her hard?

"In laws, nuff said" He bluntly said "Why? Don't tell me that you don't think that my siblings are sometimes annoying?" Delilah slightly paused, admitted, the McGuiness siblings are a bit annoying whenever they push the topic of them having children... but then again, she wouldn't admit that to him wouldn't she?

"No! your family is lovely" She stated, Jay rolled his eyes

"LIES!" He shouted, she gasped and decided to leave Jay there hanging, She turned off the lights then lied down their bed and covered her ears with a duvet. "Go.Away.Jay" She sternly say, of course, He wouldn't give up that easily now would he? He searched for the spare keys to their room, In must be there somewhere, under the couch, in the key bowl, or... of course, in Jay's jeans where he left inside the room.  He dragged himself to their door and continues to knock, getting weaker as few seconds past.

"I'm sorry for that Lilah.." He sighed, He retreated to the couch, he knew that it wouldn't budge. he got himself comfortable, or at least, made himself fit in it. He continues to regret ruining the night, even though it's all accidental, What if he didn't made that compliment and just smiled at the lady, surely, they would've been forcing a laughter to one's joke, it doesn't sound pleasant but it looks pleasant. they would've went home with him hearing Lilah's rant about how the elevator in the apartment is not fixed yet, and it made them look like a scene from the old series, Big Bang Theory. They could've cuddled as they watched some late shows as they criticized it, like they always do. He could've brought up that one topic, that topic that he always liked to talk to her about.. Jay finally doze off as he daydreams about having a house in the suburbs, with mini duplicates of their genes.

meanwhile for Lilah, she was restless. there was something about the dark that makes her helpless, unprotected.. afraid. Sadly, she got rid of her nightlight since Jay was mocking her about it. He knew about her phobia, he tried to convince her that she has nothing to be afraid of, he was there to protect her from ever she might've thought about the dark, and he did a darn well job of convincing her. She turned over to stare at that little light from the streets that has pass through the curtains, She tried to think if she was a bit to harsh on Jay, getting angry from a little incident... To admit it, it wasn't a little incident, she hated her brother's wife, it was enough that she actually stayed with her for half an hour, hearing her poor pathetic problems, she understands it if it's all about her being anorexic, but it went on from hearing her brother that he's a dickhead for not letting her go to her friend's party instead of this dinner of theirs. It was dreadful, that night, all because of Jay's little comment. Looking back at it though, she admits that it's pretty funny. a rush of guilt goes through body, as she may have been in Jay's place if it's about her brother's wife, they are inlaws, and it's in the nature that in laws would hate each other. Deciding that Jay should be forgiven, she slipped on to her slippers and shuffled to the Couch, she enters the living room and saw a perfect curly haired angel, sleeping rather peacefully at the couch, his feet resting at the armrest and half of his arm also resting at the coffee table. She knelt down right before him, watching his chest rise up and down.  As perfect as this image was to her, she wants to wake him up. She kisses him at the cheeks and taps his shoulder, He easily woke up. He smiled at her, he knew that she was there to forgive him, there's no need for her to tell him that, just at that look in her eyes, he already knew. He sat up and pulled Lilah to his lap, snuggling her as she giggled.

"I'm so sorry though, I should've been more-"

"Hilarious? that would've enlightened the moment more" She interrupted, giving him a grin. Jay laughed at her comment,  he easily forgot that she also hated her in law, in her side, not his side. He gave her a peck on the lips, which later made him yearn for more of lip action, he kissed her passionately, a bit cliche yeah, but that's how he would describe it. Lilah pulled away, he pouted and  she ruffled his hair

"I'm still a bit pissed about you calling my brother a crud. Let this pass for a night that kiss me like that once again" She winked. he laughed once again, This is why he loved her so much. they both lie down the couch, and cuddled, Lilah felt once again safe in his arms as for Jay.. well, he could just forget about bringing it up for now, all that is important that he has her.

It's been a year and a half that they've been together as a married couple, they had this small moments like this often, they frequently have huge fights, they just couldn't have it in themselves to hate each other or have this rage towards one another. They couldn't stand being away from each other, you could've seen the trouble nights they have whenever Jay is on tour with his boyband, The Wanted. They couldn't imagine life without both of their presence, they wouldn't even dare think of that horrific scene... But what if, just what if... They had to imagine a life like that, or worse- Had to live a life like that?
