3 weeks has passed and Jay is still not recovering from their great loss. He lays down at their couch, had his laptop connected to their television, watching old videos that He and Lilah recorded. Since his TW flip days made it like a daily routine for him to record flips, he also does it in his free time, creating vlogs , or at least, home videos. Lilah thought it was lame but she eventually does it. he was currently watching that time when they went to the park with her cousin's kids and they played a prank on her. He laughed and teared up a bit, it the realization that he may never have any more memories on the fact that she's dead.
"I love you Jay, but hit me with that and .. and.. I'LL TELL MOTHER ON YOU!!" Lilah laughed as she childishly told him in the video. He'll sure miss that side of her. a loud beep on their answering machine surprised him, shook his head and continued watching
"Hi, this is Lilah McGuiness, leave a message for me or Jay and we'll get back on it"
"Oh my god" he muttered as tears stream down his face, he reached for the nearest pillow and just hugged it tight. Lilah McGuiness, that's always sweet to his ears, hearing it in her voice, that she is officially his and his only. He'll miss those days, when people call her Mrs. McGuiness, or when he introduces her as his wife. He's been waiting for that moment long for that to happen... and now it's all gone.
"Jay, Happy birthday" a familiar voice said, He rose up to his feet, It couldn't be.. It's impossible "Yeah, it's your bday, and in some way, you might have forgot it because of some events.."
"It's Lilah.." He whispered to himself. he heard a knock from his door, "Jay! open up!" Nathan shouted, he couldn't move, he wouldn't move. He needs to finish the message first, it's impossible that it's Lilah.
"Well, yeah, Happy 29th birthday darlin', I love you so much! as a birthday gift, I have something in store for you, just check your mails today okay? I hope it's not delayed or anything but yeah, lots of love from me, Lilah" Oh dear god, no it's impossible, how can she do this? it's... impossible! She can't do this! or at least, he thinks it's impossible. he went quickly to the answering machine, and repeated the message, It's her! it's really her- well, it sounds like her. What kind of sick prank is this? It will never be a good time to send someone an impersonator of a late wife's voice.
"Jay come on, if you forgot it's your birthday, please at least be happy on the fact that you're born!" Max yelled, the whole gang is here he guesses, but he has no time to entertain those, what's with the voicemail... He repeated it again, and again, and again.
"Is that.." Tom trailed off, he looked up and saw his friends enter the house, it was kind of easy to look for their spare keys, Their eyes were getting teary as they heard her voice. They sat down the couch and let it sink in their minds, they are hearing a birthday greeting to Jay from a dead person. Siva widened his eyes as he heard the message the second time. Mails.
"Jay, I think you should check your mails" Siva said, Jay shot up the couch once again
"Oh God" He gathered his laptop and opened his email account. he checked every unopened email, he got nothing.
"What, I got nothing.." he trailed off, then he ran out off the house, on the side note that he is wearing nothing but sweatpants, and ran straight to the mailbox. He pulled out every mail, not giving a care about the mess he makes, and saw a little blue envelope
"This must be it.." He whispered to himself. He rushed to the living room and looked at his friends. They had this eagerness in their eyes, they want to know, but at the same time, body languages that say that they couldn't face it. Jay's hands were trembling, as he opened the letter, he pulled out a card with a technicolored lettering of 'Happy Birthday'. he opened it and, believe it or not, Justin Bieber's version of Happy Birthday was playing. Jay chuckled at the card, she surely knows how to make him smile.
